By the way Akuffo Addo's tactics was once used in Kenya where reps refused to sign their "pink sheets" in the strong holds of opposing parties. In the end it did not work. The tactic was ruled void.

After responding to actions by members of the NPP; the holding of EC officials by the police follows a lead laid out by the Supreme Court, which indicates that proceedings in the Supreme Court are moving forward in a well managed fashion. Nana Akufo-Addo et al have moved their petition forward and have good evidence to lay before the Court.

Before this even an affidavit sworn to by Kwadwo Sarfo-Kantanka, a deputy Commissioner of EC, averred that the total number of registered voters, copies of which were forwarded to the parties, was 14,031,680 and added to that figure to produce a final figure of 14,158,890, which the EC later withdrew from stating that that final figure was a 'genuine' error and that it had no bearing on the former results declared.

The commission said it rather affected the voter turnout by increasing it to 80.15 percent from79.43 percent.

An affidavit sworn to by Kwadwo Sarfo-Kantanka, a deputy Commioner of the Electoral Commission (EC), averred that the total number of votes during the 2012 election was 14,031,680 and the total number of compiled votes:14,158,890, produces an additional 127,210 votes. Sarfo-Kantanka stated that this was merely a "genuine error"--notwithstanding the deputy Commissioner of the EC did not enumerate what the critical difference there was between a genuine error and an addition of votes used to produce a desired result. The latter is why Nana Akufo-Addo et al's petition is moving before the Supreme Court. It should also be noted that the "magic number" in election votes in the 2012 election is less than 164,000. That is, it would take less than 164,000 votes to change a loser into a winner.
All of the Electoral Commission's reports seem rather strange. The EC in its answers to the petitioners, indicated that eventhough it had announced initial provisional figures of 13,917,366, after including and adding registration of [Ghanaians abroad,] it arrived at 14,158, 890 votes cast in the election of 2012, which included the difference of 241,524 registered overseas voters. It should be noted that 241,524 is another number more than 127,210--114,314 more to be exact.
The EC has recently declared that "no voting took place outside Ghana." Notwithstanding it is difficult to understand how the EC can record 241,524 registered voters; use this number of votes in their compiled votes and then declare: "No voting took place outside of Ghana." When it is understood that the Magic Number needed to change John Mahama from a loser into a winner is 163,970 we can begin to understand why the EC might have used magic numbers floating in and out of their statistical statements.
The Electoral Commission (EC) had reported that they had added 241,524 votes from abroad to produce the final compiled vote number in the 2012 election of 14,158,890, as well as other votes that should not have veen counted and allowed. The final total number of votes cast and counted in the 2012 election was inflated by votes from several sources of votes that should not have been allowed. This number of total votes was the number of votes submitted as counted and included in the voting results of the 2012 election.
Now, in addition to other denials of irregularities, the EC is saying there was not actually 241,524 votes cast and counted from abroad (that was also probably a genuine error), they are now saying that there was actually only 705 registered Ghana voters outside of Ghana who actually voted and were counted, maybe. We say maybe because they are also saying that there were no votes from abroad. The new number of 705 was given by the EC because of a Supreme Court Order. The new number of 705 was given by the EC because Nana Akufo-Addo et al's petition motion had produced an Order by the Supreme Court to have the EC produce a true and correct report of the total number of voters outside of Ghana. If we can assume that this is actually a true and correct number, perhaps we must also assume that the Electoral Commission (EC) only gives true and correct number reports to the Supreme Court when ordered to do so--otherwise the EC just gives any report they choose to give. We must assume this because the former number of 241,524 figures the EC submitted as the total number of the "voters registered abroad" who were "included in the final [number of counted] results of the election." The critical question here is how can the EC list 241,524 registered voters who voted and were included in the 2012 election's final results when now they are saying that "no one voted from abroad"--notwithstanding they are also saying that 705 votes came in from abroad. Is it any wonder how Nana Akufo-Addo et al used the above data and other data to form an assumption that "the election was rigged in favor of President Mahama."?

The Northern regional police has picked up one more official of the Electoral Commission (EC) for allegedly trying to get some presiding officers to sign some pink sheets used for the 2012 Presidential Elections.

Two other officials were earlier Sunday dragged to the police station by some supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in connection with the same case.

Northern regional police Public Relations Officer Ebenezer Tetteh told Joy News the third suspect is the Northern regional deputy director of the EC.

He explained that three functionaries of the NPP picked up information that the “regional EC had brought in some pink sheets for the (2012) presidential elections to be signed”.

The police officer said the NPP functionaries stormed the home of one Salamatu Usman, national service personnel at the Savelugu-Nandom District EC office since she had the pink sheets and snatched away about 16 of them. They then reported the matter to the police who picked up Salamatu.

The police PRO said during the cause of investigations, Salamatu mentioned she was instructed by the Savelugu-Nandom District electoral officer to get all unsigned pink sheets validated.

Benjamin Akumanue, he said, has been arrested to assist in investigations as well as the deputy regional electoral officer, Godfred Okley.

This brings to three, the number of suspects arrested in connection with the case.

rigging is illegal interference with the process of an election. Acts of fraud affect vote counts to bring about an election result, whether by increasing the

vote share of the favoured candidate, depressing the vote share of the rival candidates.
We must all come together to protest strongly against such act of fraud in Ghana and Africa. In a narrow election a small amount of fraud may be enough to change the result. Even if the outcome is not affected, fraud can still have a damaging effect if not punished or if the choose to ignore election frauds and rigging.

Election rigging as can reduce voters' confidence in democracy. This can lead to the breakdown of democracy in Ghana. Electoral frauds breeds corruption. Which makes it a crime and harmful to our economic growth. The future of Ghana depends on the kind of decisions we are making today.

The future and the destiny of Ghana belongs the youth. We must arise up against corruption and electoral rigging in Ghana, Therefore, I am asking all of you to come out to DEMONSTRATE MASSIVELY against election rigging and corruption in Ghana. WE MUST HOLD OUR LEADERS ACOUNTABLE for their actions. must we strive to achieve is to implant in our youth a desire to practise good sound morals and judgement.

We must be pro-active in standing tall and proud because of values that uplifts them and not degrades them. Now is the time more than ever to inspire a generation of future leaders in political fields . We must protest strong against election rigging .

To send a strong message to our leaders that the youth of Ghana cannot and will not accept any act of frauds in Ghana. Our youth all need role models that they admire and aspire to be like - let these role models rather be ones that are committed to positive change for all.

I know is going to be a difficult journey and very challenging and incredibly difficult at times, but it will also brought us tremendous honour to Ghana in the near future. !!!!!(WE MUST NOT GIVE UP THE PEACEFUL FIGHT AGAINST ELECTORAL FRAUDS AND CORRUPTION IN GHANA)!!!!!!.

We must encourage interaction, education and awareness on all levels of our natural diversity, promoting understanding and caring in society. Fostering the need for high standards of moral and ethical integrity, nurturing individual growth, and respect for others and a deeper appreciation for one's individuality. The freedom from victimisation and intimidation and the right to say NO We must fight against all types of odds in Ghana. Including CORRUPTION AND ELECTORAL FRAUDS. It is time for the youth of Ghana to say our bad corrupt leaders ENOUGH IS ENOUGH …. We cant take it anymore.

We must all do all we can to make ourselves heard and stand proudly as being pro-active. It is up to youth and the good people of Ghana now to make the choices. Let them count!!

-It's an attack on the very principle of free and fair election. Not just a fundamental democratic value, but a Ghanaian value. SAY BIG NO TO ELECTION FRAUD IN GHANA.
-I am calling on all Ghanaian youth including all political parties in Ghana to immediately launch a commission on electoral fraud to determine whether the Ghana Election Act and other Ghanaian laws are sufficient to protect the intergrity of our electoral system.

-There should be good standard for openness and transparency, and expect that all other poltical parties will follow suit.

-There should be an independent, fully -empowered association, alongside the Elections NPP investigation-and possible an investigation by the BNI- is the only way Ghanaians can begin to ---re-build trust in the Ghana Electoral Commission..
