Do you know the cause of the fire? You cannot conclude that it was negligence on the part of the driver as the problem could develop after a pre-trip inspection. Thanks to God no one was injured.

A bus driver is not a mechanic, if a school owns vehicles which they use for transporting students, they should employ a mechanic or contract with a mechanic shop for vehicle preventive maintenance.

I agree that the bus seemed to be overloaded but I don't that was a contributing factor in this case. The fire was most likely caused by an electrical problem, but the experts know best.

All praises to our Great Ancestors that no lives were lost, the bus can be replaced.

Whoever sent in the report could have enriched the story telling us what bus that was. The driver who apparently survived or even the students could have helped with that. The students who were on an excursion apparently had fire resistant belongings with them and were able to salvage them from the completely burnt bus. And was the intensity of the blaze the reason for the suspecion that it could be a mechanical fault? Electrical faults cause such damages. Oh, why pack 83 students on one bus? Maybe that would have been answered if we were informed of the type of bus. Crazy report.
