The NDC would have to explain to Ghanaians how a dead man came to author and sign a letter!

The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. I am alive and awake in the Lord. Ghana will not die; Ghana will live to declare the works of the Lord. Our parliamentarians must understand that we sent them to parliament to serve the needs of our people and not themselves. They represent us the good people of Ghana and not even their parties. Unfortunately these continuous outbursts of your inherent, antisocial behavior serves no purpose but reveal a wicked trend of moronic and exquisite lack of sensibility , to make Ghana a failure. Whatever happened to 'innocence till proven guilty' Irrevocably, lest we forget, similar expressions of frustrated desire, pride,separateness and cruelty by these fictive chosen ones was what brought about the one party system in our checkered past. NPP PRACTICES HYPOCRISY NOT DEMOCRACY

Where for heaven sake did we get these knuckleheads to be leaders in Ghana? The president of Ghana’s state of the nation address is not a visit to the parliament. It is rather the yearly invitation of parliament to the president to address the economic health and future policies of the government to nation. So for any MP who has sworn an oath to conscientiously discharge the duties of a Member of Parliament; it is a must to attend the STON address except when taken ill. The NPP cannot hypocritically cherry pick what suits them even if they have a petition pending at the SC. It is not only ridiculous but also a shame for minority leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu to assert that the attendance of STON address is the prerogative of the MP to be in attendance or not. Then why did MPs choose to represent the people of Ghana and swear the following:

THE OATH OF A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT
I,.........................................................................................having been elected a member of Parliament do (in the name of the Almighty God swear) (solemnly affirm) that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Republic of Ghana as by law established; that I will uphold, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana; and that I will faithfully and conscientiously discharge the duties of a member of Parliament. (So help me God)

It is the duty of all MPs without exception to Protect and defend the constitution of Ghana ; no ifs, ands or buts. Even if they have a petition going on currently at the SC until the SC decides otherwise; they will have to discharge their duties as expected of them. They cannot prejudge the outcome of the SC rule by preempting/boycotting the president. However, the same hypocrite NPP members of parliament are not ashamed to collect their pay slip from the same president Mahama they are boycotting. NPP does not practice democracy; what they do at best is sickening hypocrisy.

The Minority Leader deserves the right to disrespect the Supreme Court as well. Also reserves the right to be paid without working. But do not deserve the right not to represent his constituency. If the constituencies of the Minority Members of Parliament are smart enough, they will ask for a recall election to elect people that can represent them while the case is in the Supreme Court or open an escrow account and hold their pay checks there until the supreme court decides their case. Let them ask the Ghana Bar Association of the legality of that and follow through.
