My friend get a part time Job ASDA,Tesco's ,Sainsubury's or where ever and pay up - lazy bumbs!!! We all do that and some have done that!

They all have part time jobs as they can apply for NI cards which enables them to work up to 21 hours a week but it cheap money for the Govt to pay rent for them so they keep what ever money they make buy cars or other things ...

I don't understand why some people are making GETFUND feel good about this when the students applied and were selected for the scholarship. if so, they did calculate that they had the means to provide for them.
Government institutions take us for a ride.
won't they pay those who are going to negotiate with the schools?
won't they sleep in hotels and be paid out of station allowances?

All those making those silly comments should get their facts right. First of all with the hours of work you are allowed to do with a student visa you would have to work for years to be able to pay the fees. Do you think working whiles schooling to pay over 16000 pound is a joke? Secondly most of the students got the scholarship on merit and the government assured that they were in a position to foot the bill(was it a crime to opt for a higher education in the UK?). Thirdly, all those on the scholarship have no legal right to stay in the UK after school since they are sponsored by the government.So for those thinking the students will not return to Ghana should get their facts right. Its pathetic some of you cannot empathise with your fellow Ghanaians who are trying their best to study and come back to contribute and help build Ghana. Next time some of you decide to comment on such platforms make sure you know what you are talking about.

The best way is to spend the money to educate more people at the bottom of the ladder and they will take care of themselves and help their countries. Kwame Nkrumah bought a hous ein Keningston known as the Ghana house and many Ghanians started life there before branching out to buy their own houses etc. This should be done to stop this from happening again.
