There is nothing good to write home about Mate Mehu NLM/UP/PP/PFP and their off shoot NPP. They boycotted our independence in 1957. They set precedence for the first coup in Ghana which impeded our economic and industrial progress up until this day. They opposed the building of the Akosombo dam among others. They are boycotters by nature but are deficient in solutions. The NPP are woefully sissy, whiners and miserable losers. They complain about everyone, everything except themselves. What a bunch self-righteous, bigoted, lawless group who pride themselves with rule of law but not worth the paper it's written on.

Democracy and rule of law are alien to the NPP. The NPP are feudist parading as democrats. This Mate Mehu off shoot NPP party is full of sickening hypocrisy. Their left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. It is a lawless criminal group whose name changes in every era (NLM/UP/PP/PFP and now NPP). However, the adage the leopard cannot change the spots is true to the letter. The NPP think they can cherry pick and lay down the law as they wish. It isn't that easy otherwise beggars would be the best jockeys. This continues primitive behaviour of the NPP is not acceptable in any civilized society. The good people of Ghana must call them to order. MPs swear oath to serve Ghana not party or any group.

It is high time the Mate Mehu NPP traitors and nation wreckers realized their unpardonable mistakes and render unqualified apology to all Ghanaians for the part they played in the 1966 coup which left this dear and beautiful nation of ours in tatters for close to 50 years. Ghana is still not out of the woods due the 1966 coup. Have this intransigence, incurable, dyed-in the-wool, nation wreckers ever thought of helping/acceleration the progress Ghana instead of always applying the brakes all the time? What if their forebears had cooperated and collaborated with Kwame Nkrumah to help catapult Ghana to the industrial age like our peers Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, etc; Ever thought of that? The Mate Mehu penchant for scapegoating, paranoia and fetish suspicion of everything that does not go their way is sickening and self-inflicted prolonged agony. The NPP must put a stop to their credo; EITHER OUR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. GHANA FIRST.

The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

THE NPP PRACTICES HYPOCRISY NOT DEMOCRACY.

Where for heaven sake did we get these knuckleheads to be leaders in Ghana? The president of Ghana’s state of the nation address is not a visit to the parliament. It is rather the yearly invitation of parliament to the president to address the economic health and future policies of the government to nation. So for any MP who has sworn an oath to conscientiously discharge the duties of a Member of Parliament; it is a must to attend the STON address except when taken ill. The NPP cannot hypocritically cherry pick what suits them even if they have a petition pending at the SC. It is not only ridiculous but also a shame for minority leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu to assert that the attendance of STON address is the prerogative of the MP to be in attendance or not. Then why did MPs choose to represent the people of Ghana and swear the following:

THE OATH OF A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT
I,.........................................................................................having been elected a member of Parliament do (in the name of the Almighty God swear) (solemnly affirm) that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Republic of Ghana as by law established; that I will uphold, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana; and that I will faithfully and conscientiously discharge the duties of a member of Parliament. (So help me God)
To be sworn before the Speaker

It is the duty of all MPs without exception to Protect and defend the constitution of Ghana ; no ifs, ands or buts. Even if they have a petition going on currently at the SC until the SC decides otherwise; they will have to discharge their duties as expected of them. They cannot prejudge the outcome of the SC rule by preempting/boycotting the president. However, the same hypocrite NPP members of parliament are not ashamed to collect their pay slip from the same president Mahama they are boycotting. NPP does not practice democracy; what they do at best is sickening hypocris

What they have to know is that, they cannot do things on their own, because they were sent to parliament to represent we the electorates so they should do what will please we the electorates not their affiliated political party.
If they are challenging the credibility of the elections conducted by the EC, they should themselves criticize the credibility of their being in parliament as well. It is about time we held the bull by the horn. We have to tell the minority in parliament, that, we are fed up with their unpatriotic attitudes.
