There is nothing good to write home about Mate Mehu NLM/UP/PP/PFP and their off shoot NPP. They boycotted our independence in 1957. They set precedence for the first coup in Ghana which impeded our economic and industrial progress up until this day. They opposed the building of the Akosombo dam among others. They are boycotters by nature but are deficient in solutions. The NPP are woefully sissy, whiners and miserable losers. They complain about everyone, everything except themselves. What a bunch self-righteous, bigoted, lawless group who pride themselves with rule of law but not worth the paper it's written on.

Democracy and rule of law are alien to the NPP. The NPP are feudist parading as democrats. This Mate Mehu off shoot NPP party is full of sickening hypocrisy. Their left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. It is a lawless criminal group whose name changes in every era (NLM/UP/PP/PFP and now NPP). However, the adage the leopard cannot change the spots is true to the letter. The NPP think they can cherry pick and lay down the law as they wish. It isn't that easy otherwise beggars would be the best jockeys. This continues primitive behaviour of the NPP is not acceptable in any civilized society. The good people of Ghana must call them to order. MPs swear oath to serve Ghana not party or any group.

Then your Akyem and Asante areas are awash with polygamous families. During my GSTS school days we had a mate whose father had 54 children from 20 wives and was always sad. He wished he had come from a monogamy family.

By the way, this is not so relevant and tangent to the theme although I condemn such acts of men who cannot tame their front tail. Julor, I am independent thinking person and would never allow my views to tainted by the current breed of corrupt politicians. However, the NPP cannot take the law into their hands and misbehave. Our constitution is our holy grail and must be respected all Ghanaians. The NPP have a suit pending at the SC and until the SC comes out with its ruling the NPP MPs must do as they have sworn an oath to respect the constitution.

Article 67 of Ghana’s Constitution requires the President of the Republic of Ghana to deliver to Parliament a message on the State of the Nation at the beginning of each session of Parliament.

So the walk out by NPP MPs is a breach of our constitution and all MPs involved must be reprimanded and charge with neglect of duty as stipulated by our constitution. We the people of Ghana abide by the law of the nation and not the law of the jungle where only the strong survives.
The NPP is not above the law and until the SC decides on the pending petition the NPP cannot be the jury, judge and executioner all in one.

For your information, Nkrumah never killed a single political opponent despite their attempts to kill him. He was humane to build them a 5 star prison at Nsawam which was 1000 times better than James fort or Elimina/Cape coast castle prison yards. Let me remind you Nkrumah was a jailbird too.

What if Nkrumah had listened to your lousy lazy minded uncle Danquah and his adjutant Busia and didn’t build Akosombo? Ghanaians would still be sleeping in total darkness. The NPP cannot keep staying on the fringes with an excuse of court petition. The courts swore the president into office and until the court says otherwise president mahama is still legally a president who must be recognized at all time.

NPP who says they are in court are indirectly telling the same court that swore the president in that they care less about the courts own swear in. Does it make sense to anyone?

Do NPP expect the very court that swore Mahama into office, who were also present in office, along with all other state instutions as required by law to only see to their interest of gaining power? The courts understands their neutrality in this matter and will see to it that all sides are heard and justice done so why will NPP pretend by attending parliament, they have hurt their case?

NPP who is not debating any policies that have been outdoored by the president at this meeting, have missed the vetting process and are only playing fring emotional politics instead of opposing responsibly are doing a great diservice to Ghana and themselves as a serious party.

Infact their own action is hurting their progress as a party to reorganize and elect new officials to push the agenda of NPP. Dont NPP folks see that they are wasting their own time with this emotional stance?

When are we the Akans going to start reasoning? When are we going to stop. Rawlings nearly succeeded in getting us (AKANS) in the track. We the Akans should really have continued from where he left us, but day in and day out, our tribalistic behaviour is getting worse. Brothers and sisters, when, when, when? It is a shame for me as an Ashanti to keep on seeing and hearing the unreasonable behaviour and Abuses of our Party NPP leaders and members pour on other tribes and parties.
I was born in HO and my elementary education started there. I never experienced any discrimination there, untill we came to Kumasi. In Kumasi, my sisters and my two brothers, we all suffered under the descrimination of always being called the "AYIGBE" children, although our mother and father are ashantis. Even from our uncles, aunts and cousins, we suffered it. Our being the bests at our various schools, could not even help us. After the death of my father, my mother took us to Accra. That actually helped us.
I am sure there are people in the NPP who are against tribalism. Please let us form a force against tribalism in the Party, let us not use the good will of Ghanaians to start destroying what our grand parents, fathers layed down for us, our children and our grand children, if we can´t do better.
NPP leadership, bear in mind, you are heading towards desolving the NPP party soon. I, like many Ghanaians don´t think what you are aiming at would bring you any success. I can asure you that the time being waisted now would be missing during the next election, and this will mean losing the election again. Be a good looser and accept the defeat. The petiton at the Supreme Court may take up to five years. Think of that, please.

The minority in parliament has shown above everything that the good people of Ghana cannot trust them. The Leader of the minority came out yesterday to promise Ghanaians that they would be present at the State of the Nation address adding that they will communicate their stance to the party leadership late in the evening. We don't care what threats they received from their despotic leaders, but if they changed their minds the people deserved to know as a matter of principle if not courtesy. They have shown that they cannot be taken serious. They have proved that they will rather tow the line of partisanship rather than their conviction. They have proved that they do not have any core and be swayed about anyhow. That is NOT honorable. Governance is not a child's play. It is serious business. You say what you mean and mean what you say! Ghna needs men of conviction. I don't care if anybody boycotts or walks out for reasons they know best. What I find irritating, disgusting and disrespectful to the populace is saying one thing and deliberating doing the opposite. Members of Parliament on both sides should know and understand that they are not called HONORABLE for nothing. We honor them as such we demand the same honor and respect from them!

The Constiution is clear on electoral challenges.Only a Ghanaian citizen could challenge the electoral results by filing a petition in Suprem Court.There is no where in our constitution that a political party,organisation,association,enterprise or gruop could file a petition to challenge the declared results.Nana Addo did file the petition in his own name just like Bawumia and Jake.Ofcourse,they are NPP members but they went to court as private individuals.I remember hearing NPP gurus saying their party has not filed any petition so people should not refere to the case as NPP's petition but the 3 petitioners did so as citizens of Ghana.Therefore,I don't understand why the same NPP is saying today that they have a case challenging the results in Supreme Court.Is this official petition or just propaganda?Thank you.

The NPP does not have the people at heart that is why they have been boycotting everything.
Send them to weed the cocoa farms in the Ashanti and Brong Aahfo Regions.These PMS are 'kokoasi' people they do not know whst is parliamentary duties.Most of them take being an MP as the rule of the law to waste the tax payers money .Mahama is being too diplomatic with these coccoa labourers and therefore need to be shyown the red card if they should next time boycot anything.
There is the need for the law to be amended that any prliamentarian who avoid sitting or dodges anty such ecvents gfor wqhich they are supposed to attend without any reasonable reasons need be removed by his constituency and banned from any election participation for at least 10- 15 years.

I hope it's not related to number of women in question which has influence your thinking to put on pink colour to make them happy. In most cases pink colour is for women if I am not mistaken. I just don't understand them, if they want to boycott everything because of JM being the president, then they have to boycott salaries taxpayer's money they paid them at the end of the month.what is the sense of being there at the Parliament? what work does they do there? Well! i think they have to stay home or do their individual businesses after the SC case is done then they can proceed with the parliamentary business for their constituency. Are they saying the EC stole the election for NDC? what about them the NPP MPs? I'm sure the EC stole the votes for them too. so they should stop doing that, is not fair.
