The NDC would have to explain to Ghanaians how a dead man came to author and sign a letter!

The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. I am alive and awake in the Lord. Ghana will not die; Ghana will live to declare the works of the Lord. The government must cut its coat according to its size. It should provide the basic and needed necessities which will promote economic development: roads, bridges, electricity, water, good technical institutions (not so-so universities producing so-so illiterate “graduates”). We keep expanding universities and adding new ones; unfortunately the products are of these universities are not useful to the economy; they don’t have analytical, communication and problem solving skills. Some even don’t know the subject matter of their major fields. The government should revamp the tertiary education system – eliminate some courses, avoid unnecessary duplications, support only viable research relevant to the economy. The government must be bold and freeze all salaries and eliminate unnecessary allowances. They should fire all public servants who go on strike and ask them to reapply for their jobs. They should also cut down the number of ambassadors/envoys. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE STEP TO ELIMINATE OR DRASTICALLY CURTAIL CORRUPTION.

I find it strange for the whole President who boasted about ssss during campaign time is now bemoaning its sustainability. For solution, thing of how the Ministries would work effectively to enable the Private Sector to to be viable and pay their taxes. Come to Tema Industrial Area to see the horrible roads and infrastructure under which the factories are working. They have every right not to pay the myriad of taxes heaped on them.
The President should be the first to reconsider the salary approved for him and advise the ministers, Parliamentarians, the dubious judgement debts, high fuel consumption by public officials. The list cannot end. Let us call a genuine forum to discuss this and be ready to implement the recommendations
Let us look into how the nation can generate wealth to sustain this huge public wage bill and we will see the potential of the Ghanaian economy

I have on so many occasions posted that no country can survive and develop by spending more that 5% (five percent) of its GDP on public service salaries. USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, Australia, Sweden, etc. all spend less than 5% of its GDP on public salaries.

Early last year Ghana was spending about 45% of GDP on public salaries and I commented on it when Afari Djan was pushing for 45 more people to parliament.

Now our President says that 60.9% of GDP goes to public service. Mr. President, what can we do as country to bring this down to 20%?

What is the problem of the nation? Why are they continuing voting the same rascals to parlament and goverment?
We have to free our selfs from dependency. Our leaders are beside the west our slave traders.

Mahama does not have the solution for our country as he is the one encouraged the parlamentarians to increase their salaries and that of the ministers and president. Now this hypocrate is standing infront of Ghanaians telling us the country is falling apart due to high per centage of business issued to public servants.

Unfortunately, we are not one to fight this government out because of tribalism and party partizans.

Ghana we cry until one day one will wake up to shoot these leaders down to set an example.

Upon our Gold, Diamond, Timber, Coacoa, Aluminium, etc. and now also oil, we are not capable of develop the nation and give qualities to our people. Why a mess!!!!

It was the mailman’s last day on the job after 35 years of carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the same neighborhood. When he arrived at the first house on his route he was greeted by the whole family there, who congratulated him and sent him on his way with a big gift envelope. At the second house they presented him with a box of fine cigars. The folks at the third house handed him a selection of terrific fishing lures.

At the fourth house he was met at the door by a strikingly beautiful woman in a revealing negligee. She took him by the hand, gently led him through the door (which she closed behind him), and led him up the stairs to the bedroom where she blew his mind with the most passionate love he had ever experienced. When he had had enough they went downstairs, where she fixed him a giant breakfast: eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, blueberry waffles, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. he Public sector has become a waste dump full of all types of discarded characters parading as public servants hanging on the neck of the government. Instead of thinking of increased productivity that should bring increase revenue to the government, the TUC who is their umbrella is parochially thinking of increase in wages. Who should produce for them to chop? The country needs a strong willed president to fill this waste dump once and for all and tell them enough is enough. The size of the public sector should be drastically reduced since the sector is over employed. The country is reeling under this spate of useless servants who do not work but ask for wage increases every time a new government comes to power. We are tied of them. Reduce their number NOW!!!.

It is about time the government started thinking outside the box and resorting more to private initiatives which will pay for themselves. The developing naitons are doing this successfully so the blue print already exists in many shapes and forms. Government should start outsourcing / privatising many of its functions. Another solution is to give employees shares in their emplying company to motivate and bring out the best in them. Shares in national companies should be floated and Ghanaians both home and abroad should be given the opportunity to buy stakes no matter how small. Government appointees should not see this as an opportunity to grab state assets for themselves, their girlfriends and family members. Instead ordinary Ghanaians should be encouraged to buy shares in these companies. Where necessary foreign partners can be brought in to provide expertise where we do not have them locally. And please keep the Chinese out because they are wrecking this dear nation of ours.

He talks like it is the meagre salaries of civil servants that has increased this. As a solution, I would advise him to reduce by half his salary, that of the vice, ministers and parliamentarians. He should also retrieve the 50,000 cedis paid to parliamentarians as rent allowances, and see if the burden will not reduce.When the NDC was so eager to increase the number of parliamentarians fron 230 to 275, did he not fathom that payment of salaries go with that? When visionaries were speaking against the creation of 45 - new constituencies by Afari Djan, idiots were hailing him not thinking about the dire consequence it is going to affect the country's monetary pot. With all their salaries, rent, car allowances and so forth where was this Ali Baba (Mahama)then?

It does not take degrees to rule a country but wisdom and vision. Former Brazalian President Lula was a shoe shine boy and peanut seller but was able to tame Brazilian economy during his administration and that is why the term BRIC- nation (Brazil,Russia, India and China) emerging economy was coined. Visionaries are born and if Mahama can't do the work which was stolen for him by Afari Djan, the gates of Flagstaff House are not under secured locked codes, the earlier he resigns the better it will be for him than to stop whining. Anyway, they say charity begins at home - why can't he come up with an executive order to prune down the salaries and allowances of the Presidency, Vice President, Ministers of State, Parliamentarians and others?

Mahama is visionless. Last week he said he was going to cater for chiefs by paying them salaries? Where is the money coming from? This Atopahene is clueless.
