WHEN THE HISTORY IS TOLD, IT WILL BE SAID THAT GHANAIANS WERE OFFERED FREE SECONDARY EDUCATION, IMPROVED UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL HOUSING FOR THE POOR AND AN EGALITARIAN SOCIETY BUT 50% SAID NO THANK YOU. Chemicals for treating water for human or animal consumption,should have EXPIRY DATE,DATE OF PRODUCTION,SERIAL #,UN #,FLASH POINT etc,before it could even be allowed to be exported.If the containers of the ALUNINIUM SULPHATE do not bear all these,I have my doubt on how it was shipped to Ghana.There have been some alteration after its clearance at Ghana's port.Because,it couldn't have been cleared by the customs,without all theese requirements.

What is the typical shelf life of the specific product? When was the lot made etc. This sensational journalism does not help the nation as it could lead to unfounded anxiety.

the product must bear the manufacturing date, Lot number and Expiry date, the most important thing is the potency of the salt or chemical. How can alum expire or lose its potency. As a devoloping nation we can not do everything that the advance coutries do.Products are discarded in these countries as soon as the expiration date passes because they produce them . They do so to ensure ensure continuity of production lines and factories . That isone of the reasons for strict enforcement and compliance . Devolping countries must avoid waste by testing the potency of chemicals and reagents before discarding them . What are our science departments in our universities doing.It is high time we put our people who major in Chemistry and Science to work

The point still remains that the health of our people is in danger from using water that may not have been adequately treated and that should be e everhone's focus and we must hold the people responsible accountable for endangering lives amd for ajsing financial loss to the state. In civilized society "people" would have resigned or been fired and made to face legal action!
