Dr Omane Boamah should stop giving excuses or shifting blame and responsibility. His government was in power and could have corrected whatever faults that were contained in the Single Spine Structure before the implementation. Stop blaming the consultants.

I quite remember the NPP government after the consultation in 2007 said they didn't have enough money or the income of the country wasn't much enough so they wanted to wait and implement it to meet productivity. But when these illiterates came to power they think they know too much and so quickly implemented it against the advice of many people. Now they are crying after paying themselves fat salaries. Am really sad for Ghana cos the way the country is being run, we will accumulate a lot of debt that we will have to sell our share of the oil shares to get loan. And if that happen, we are doom forever. I cant believe people voted for NDC. We need to think afar as Ghanaians. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Its the NPP government who took us from a poor country with good policies to a middle income country but now the NDC government are sending us back to a poor country again.

And for your information. If you want a poor Ghana, look back at 1981 when PNDC/NDC took over with 100% inflation and negative growth rate, famine and scarcity of food, massive underdevelopment with only 25% of the whole nation connected to electricity.

NDC hailed us from such difficult times to 2000 (which u will remember). U SHOULD ASK YOURSELF WHY RAWLINGS WON 9 OUT OF 10 REGIONS IN 1992 AND 1996 ELECTIONS. He made standards of living better and NO ACHIEVEMENT OF THE NPP CAN EVER SURMOUNT IT. I wonder what Kuffour would have done in 8 years if he iinherited the post-Nkrumah mess PNDC /NDC inhertited.

I don't hate them, never, but I think they have to use our money wisely and efficiently than what they are doing now.Yes Kuffour did sign that into law, but that doesn't mean one must be stupid enough to implement it immediately even if u don't have the resources or the means. This is pure stupidity and cheap politics. Now Ofosu Ampofo is blaming the consultants recommendations not good enough. what prevented them from carrying further consultation if the old one was not good enough. Hm they are jokers. They take us for a fool. The worst thing is when one wants to pull a fast one on you, thinking Ghanaians are fool and will take any stupid and hollow excuses. We are all in it. If it is good, it is good for all of us and if it bad, ah well. Anyway I pray that they will be able to solve the 60% use of Ghana's income on salary. Hmmmmmmm. One man of God, Pat Robertson, said it is always good to listen, even to your enemy cos you can get a clue from him. The NDC has substantially supervised the implementation of the SSSS. If the NDC had reservations, as the Hon. Minister wants to point out, it still does not vitiate IMANI's position, particularly, when the NDC only saw the Political Capital that could accrue from promising the Ghanaian people full implementation of SSSS.

In fact, it is dangerous and politically unwise for this to be said about the SSSS. What ought to be said is the apparent lack of resources to meet the obligation of an otherwise done deal.

SSSS is here to stay. What Govt. needs to concentrate its efforts on is to work to increase its revenue so as to be able to meet its obligations including the SSSS as they fall due.

No where in the developed countries does the MONTHLY salary of an MP/congressman exceed 90 percentile ANNUAL salary of workers. In the US the salary of congressmen is about 4 X the median income. So long as this disparity exists, so long will Ghanaians press on for fairness.

Another example of Kuffuor's populist policies which did not take into consideration the productivity capacity of workers and the nation's ability to implement it.Now the government is saddled with paying a huge wage bill which it has not got the means to pay and will never be offset by any increase in the productivity of the beneficiaries.I have a simple warning to the government-IT SHOULD NOT LIVE BEYONDS ITS MEANS.The reason for the malaise of the economies of western nations is that for so long they lived beyond their means.The red line is there and i hope the government will not cross it.Please,do not cross the red line!!!!

Irrespective of the ups and downs with the SPSS it remains one of the most enviable economic policy implementation of Ghana, with all economic policies it has its maturity period.It is better to correct the lapses till it perfects.
