All open market places in Ghana must burn to the ground. They are useless depots of disease, misery, lazy obese women, simply sweating to create a semblance of hard work.

A Guinea fowl kept getting out of his enclosure at the Abudu and Andani gates at the Navrongo Market.

Knowing that he could fly high, the Market officials put up a ten-foot fence.

He was out the next morning, just roaming around the Market. A twenty-foot fence was put up.

Again he got out. This continued for a few days, each time the Abudu and Andani fence became taller and taller.

When the fence was forty feet high, a Dagomba dog whose name is Ya na in the next enclosure asked the Guinea fowl, "How high do you think they'll go?"

The Guina fowl said, "As high as they can go, unless somebody locks the Abudu and Andani gate at night and it's Guineafowlphobia"

We are so fixated and steeped in our underdevelopment such that we hate to try anything that can improve our lives.

If we cannot buy some of the most sophisticated fire tenders, we can build some local ones that can do the job.

If we mount powerful water pumps and hose on water tankers, can it not be used to quench fires.
Is this appropriate technology beyond our means and capabilities???

Do we need people to come from outside to come hit us on the head, for us to think straight and improvise and adopt some of these widely available technologies ????????
