My friend, indeed Buems are not Ewes but of course, they are also No. 9. It is the whole VR that is referred to as No. 9, not Ewes. And it is the whole VR that bear the brunt of the jaundiced prejudices and warped mentality of these NPP idiots. We Ewes have been taking the insults for all the VR for far too long, for even the actions of non-Ewe VR politicians. What is painful is that you guys just remain silent and even often have the temerity to join in the insults, those who support the NPP! Much of the eastern Corridor Road shall be passing through the non-Ewe area of the VR but I didn't see many from those parts responding to the crap that jerk Yawose wrote.

Anyway, the origin of No. 9 is actually not derogatory but two things combining to lead to that designation. When Ghana was getting indep. there was a beauty contest. The contestant No. 9 from the VR won hands down to screams of No. 9! No. 9! That's how it all started, as a show of admiration for what came out of teh region. Later on, some people in the Ghana depts assigning the no. 9 position to the VR when the 9 regions of Ghana were being listed, whereas that spot should have been occupied by the Western Region, if we go alphabetically!

IT HAS BECOME VERY NECESSARY FOR ME TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL RITES OF LAWYER KWEKU ANSA-ASARE MOTHER BECAUSE FIRST OF ALL HE WAS MY LECTURER AT THE GHANA SCHOOL OF LAW AND WHEN I WAS AT THE LAW SCHOOL AND HAD UNSUCCESSFUL SURGERY OF MY EYE HE WAS VERY HELPFUL TO ME AND VERY GENEROUS TOWARDS ME AND ORGANIZED THE CLASS AND THEY CONTRIBUTED MONEY FOR MY UPKEEP.
THAT WHEN I COMPLETED THE LAW SCHOOL AND WAS DULY CALLED TO THE GHANA BAR AS BARRISTER-AT LAW OR LAWYER (SOLICITOR/ADVOCATE) THAT I DID PRACTICE LAW WITH KWEKU ANSA_ASARE, ESQ.AT HIS CHAMBERS KNOWN AS "HENCIL CHAMBERS" IN ACCRA WHILE ALSO WORKING AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-IN_CHARGE OF THE SECRETARIAT OF MINISTERS OF STATE AT THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT, CASTLE-OSU.
THAT IT WAS THE SAME KWEKU ANSA_ASARE, ESQ WHOSE CHAMBERS I DID PRACTICE LAW THAT BROUGHT THE CIVIL LAW SUITS AGAINST THE EYE CLINIC FOR NEGLIGENCE.

IT IS BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE RELATED MATTER THAT LAST WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20,2013 WHEN I WAS AT HO CIRCUIT COURT TO DO A CASE AFTER THE COURT I DID PASS THROUGH HO REGIONAL ADMINISTRATION WHEN THEY ORGANIZED FUNERAL RITES FOR THE LATE VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER KAMEL AND OBSERVED BRIEFLY THE FUNERAL RITES.
THANKS FOR HIS EXCELLENCY KIND UNDERSTANDING OF THE MATTER AND ALSO KWEKU ANSA-ASARE, ESQ UNCLE IS HON>ENOCH TEYE MENSAH WHO IS ALSO AFFECTED BY THE SAME FUNERAL RITES AND MOVED THE VOTE OF THANKS AT THE BURIAL SERVICE AT PRAMPRAM ANGLICAN CHURCH.

Although the late honorable Ford Kamel hailed from the Volta region, he was a classic example of the products of Navrongo School - A Nabia (Prince), natural leader, confident and focused on service to the people irrespective of tribe or creed.
