Tawiah, you don't get it. Just like little children try to be stubborn and refuse warnings from adults, until the consequences of their actions become dire. Its the same way the old guards of the NPP like Appiah Menkah, Prez. Kuffour, Kwame Pianim etc have gone through these processes and have the experience of handsight and are cautioning the NPP, but Akuffo Addo and his group as stubborn they are, refuses to listen. Akuffo Addo might be old but he is very immature. And don't bring Asante into this, Kutu Acheampong might not have been very intellectual but at the begining of his rule was probably one of the best leaders this country ever got and Kuffour was master of the game in politics. He is very strategic and very smart.

There are more level headed people in the NPP like Ohene Ntow and Dan Botwe who have been silent throughout this election saga. I just feel there are a lot more people who disagree with the stance taken by the leadership of the NPP but are coerced into silence. I'm just waiting to see what happens to the NPP after all these bruhaha.

Then what is the purpose of the voting in the first place if it only what the EC says is what counts?

The EC officials in Ghana had effectively made themselves the king makers irrespective of who the people voted for and a direct result of this incident is a corrupt government who do not answer to the voter but to the asking price of the officials of the Electoral Commission.

It is only when governments are put in power by the voters that we can have a strong government who is accountable to the people and so be a responsible on even if incompetent.

When a party member criticizes the actions and positions of his own party it is considered a sacrilege in Ghana. How come? All those insulting Pianim should know that the guy was the most popular in the NPP in 1998 to beat Prof Mills in the 2000 elections. He was bound to defeat both Kuffour and Nana Addo hands down in the 1998 primaries. But the NPP being afraid of the possiblity of NDC taken them to court for fielding a candidate convicted for high treason,decided instead to "find out" from the Supreme court if Pianim could really be disqualified should he stand on their ticket. The Supreme Court in Ghana is not the UN court, that advises on the reasonableness of contemplated actions. So an action was sponsored by the NPP albeit thru an individual as it were to question the eligibilty of Pianim, and lo, the Supreme Court pronounced against him. From then on, he became a spent and dispensable force in his party. Ghanaians let us learn to respect divergent opinions, it helps to strengthen our institutions.

Today I want Akuffo Addo to know that he was never born to be a president of this nation, so he should relax and may be pray to God to forgive him his sins. His fall at Kumasi during the campaign period should have thought him a lesson. If he continue to listen to false prophets like Owusu Bempah and co. the wrath of God will visit him as it happened to Nebuchadnezzar when he blatantly refused to listen to the warnings of God Almighty. An aphorism in Akan goes like this:

'Wokyiri Kooko ensoso wo di ne mma'

What the NPP and the MPs are saying, Mr Pianim, is that , they do not hate Mr Mahamah as a citizen of Ghana, but rather they hate Mr. Mahamh as the President of Ghana , because he did not ascend to this 'throne' the proper way. They are doubting his ascendancy and until The Supreme Court judges sayotherwise, they are 'sticking to their guns'. Period!

This is a simple decision and stance for everybody to understand.

Now , let me ask Mr. Pianim this question:

What about if they keep quiet and accept everything and do not continue to keep the supreme Court judges on their toes, and then, these judges come out with the decision that, all is now well in Ghana, there is peace, and as such, there is no need for them 'to unearth any rubbles', what do they do?

Should it be then and after that they begin to protest?

Please let them continue to register their protests now and if the Supreme Court Judges do not come out with the truth, they then heave a sigh of relief that:

Enough is enough! We have played our part.

The old man, Mr. Pianim, should have rather exhorted the Supreme Court to expedite their decision because it is rather the delay which is rather causing the confusion and NOT the NPP.

It seems the old man, Mr Kwame Pianim is disappointed and has 'a grudge' or 'a stone to grind'with the NPP as a Party, and is not that he is making these unnecessary outbursts out of sheer patriotism.

He is hiding under the coverage of 'Old timer' 'to prick more wounds instead of healing it'.
