  It's about time this is implemented to allow attraction on import and export. Unecessary taxes for not rendered services be lifted off in order to creat effective regulation at the port.

  There is a real problem with GIFF and what its members do at the ports. They make Ghana's ports uncompetitive and unattractive to serious business minded people. The Ghana Port and Harbours Authority says One needs a clearing agent to clear goods through the ports. But to pay 3000 Ghana cedis to a clearing agent before you can clear one car is good business for GIFF. Once goods are shipped through Ghana's port one is at the mercy of these agents. Why will the Ghana Govt seize goods ( Vehicle) from Ghanaians leaving abroad to sell it to Govt officials This is a very Poor state. Govt by the people and for the people.
