Fool, don't come here with your illiteracy as you exhibit at the Sports pages. Who told you Kuffour gave 90% Foreign ownership Jubilee field to Foreigners? Ghana did not invest a dime in the sea exploration and discovery which cost a lot of money unlike land exploration and with royalties, didvidends and taxation, Ghana owns about 53% of jubilee comprising GNPC ownership of 13.75%, 5% royalties, 35% corporate tax and EO ownership of 1.75%.

Even after the discovery of oil, NDC government signed for lower percentage than what Kuffour did because Ghana has no expertise or the financial ability to extract oil from under the sea. NDC signed for 10%. At least Kuffour signed for 13.75% GNPC ownership.

No country or company will give you a divident of 30% or more when they invest their money for you to tax them 35% corporate tax plus royalties and leaving them holding the bags to recoup their investments with only 30% before expenses and expect them to make any profit.

These companies are not in business to do charity work. Why don't you take your hoes and pickaxes and go and dig the oil from under the sea, you worthless illiterate fool.

You don't understand business. Gpvernment is not making 134.75% but is also making 35% corporate tax before expenses and 5% royalties. Fools like you see 13.75% and think that is horrible without realising that these companies invested every dime into this project and we are still making more than half of the oil revenue. Go back and study business before you open your illiterate mouth.

The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

Kuffour handed Mills the best economy in Africa in 2009. An economy that has grown from a 4 billion economy to 17 billion in 8 years is not a sick economy. Kuffour inherited Rawlings mess with a stagnant economy with 42% inflation and left MAHAMA with a growing economy. Within 4 short years, ndc has increased government salary expendicture from 2.5 billion a year to 7.5 billion without a corresponding productivity.

Kuffour left an economy where 50% of our budget was used for development projects. MAHAMA and Mills now spend only 10% for development projects.

Kuffour left an economy with only 9 billion deficit after inheriting 7.5 billion from Rawlings. Within a span of four years, our deficit has ballooned to 33 billion dollars with nothing to show for it.

In 2007; at a time when courtesy of K4, and his much-touted 'good' administration,virtually everybody was engaged in a 'free-for-all' plunder of the nations resources -vodafone,the Kosmos-EO sweetheart deal,construction of the Flagstaff House,Ghana Airways,you name it!
K4 and some of these people who can now come out and make all sorts of public pronoucements about 'good governance' should thank the late President,Prof. Atta Mills for his magnanimous gesture of letting sleeping dogs lie.

Within 4 short years, ndc has increased government salary expendicture from 2.5 billion a year to 7.5 billion without a corresponding productivity.

Kuffour left an economy where 50% of our budget was used for development projects. MAHAMA and Mills now spend only 10% for development projects.

Kuffour left an economy with only 9 billion deficit after inheriting 7.5 billion from Rawlings. Within a span of four years, our deficit has ballooned to 33 billion dollars with nothing to show for it.

It is prudent for the government to look beyond their pool of "wise men" in order to nip this painful ritual in the bud. I think in spite of the fact that gas is much cheaper and a strategic energy source, depending a little more on the WAGP is not absolutely wise considering the fragile nature of West Africa's security. We have not matured or better still proved to be able to take care of our shorelines, hence our future inability to protect the pipeline is widely possible. Ghana's governments-now or futuristic-must concentrate on building various alternative energy sources at home. Nature provides abundance of alternatives which only require will to harness as other developed economies have already developed the technology. As an emerging nation, we can avoid the wastage of resources on other non-essential expenditure by channeling our scarce resources towards sustainable energy sources. In the long run, the ROI would propel us to greater industrial growth, ensure near total social and economic inclusion, mitigate conflicts due to economic factors and ensure a desirable level of education for every Ghanaian child.

There was power outages during the NPP regime and that the yellow gallons that we still see these days are called Kufuor gallons. The fact about Ghana's crude oil is that the GNPC did all the work and located the crude oil. What was then needed was the machinery to extract it which the country did not have the money to buy. It is an undeniable fact that KOSMOS and others do not manufacture the machinery they use in the pumping of crude oil from the bowels of the Earth themselves. Thus if GNPC were to be resourced it could have bought the machinery itself and Ghana's share in the her crude oil resources could have been higher than the 13% we have now.
It is even an absurdity that we as a nation even imprisoned the person who set up the GNPC, which is now laying the golden egg. And the person who imprisoned Tsatsu Tsikata was John Agyekum Kufuor.

One finds it interesting that HE Kufour is today mentioning the Asogli Power Plant as one of his supposed energy sector initiatives. Suggests HE Kufuor has no shame or a conscience. Those in the know of how HE Kufour pulled all the stops to prevent this project from taking off would wonder at this statement. Why was he not officially invited to the opening ceremony but turned up anyhow?

Perhaps he has a conscience after all and that must be what is tormenting him big time.
