The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

I would want to ask the NPP General Secretary which figures did he used in declaring the results of the presidential elections on the night of Saturday December 8, 2012? I asked this question because he says over 5 million people voted when according to the EC's figures over 10 million people voted. Did he use his own figures or he disenfranchised over 4 million voters as they are seeking to do at the Supreme Court? It will be interesting to know.

Dr Afari Gyan cannot change anyone's destiny. In my view only the Supreme Court can change NPP's destiny for better or for worst. So instead of calling Dr Afari Gyan evil, he should wait for the SC to make a decision and we will know who is the real devil (the one who announced election results first when he had no authority to do so or the other who is who had the authority to do so)?

If after 4 years Sir John is telling us that just over 5 million people voted then it means either Ghana is suffering from a decrease in population or there was a problem with voters in Ashanti Region.

If he agrees that Akufo Addo obtained 1,551,352 out of the total valid votes of 2180,520 cast in Ashanti Region alone why should he think that the number voters from the remaining 9 regions was only around 3 million thus making a total of 5 million?

Does he want to tell us that voters from Ahanti Region represent 40% of the total votes?

And I believe NPP took the matter to court for the learned judges to decide. To continue lambasting the Electoral Commissioner the way he is reported to have done here, is unfortunate, and indeed, uncalled for.
Ghana is looking for leaders who are not mere 'rouble rousers'. We're looking for stable leaders who impact not through emotional outbursts but through dispassionate assessment of critical national issues.

All political party should work with the courts so such a thing never happen again.
Oversea voters or pink papers, we all know it doesnt add up.
Gyan was the best ghana had to do the job but he failed us not NPP, NDC, CPP but whole ghanaians. We have to get it right in the supreme court to keep ghana democracy alive. Gyan is only one person, EC has lots of people who work for it and some of them are corrupt and mislead Gyan in believing what he was saying is true. NPP NDC and all party should help ghana democracy by letting EC explain what really happened so as we dont make the same mistakes.

I hope Sir John is aware that 3 of his seniors in his party have gone to the Supreme Court with what he is lamenting over. What he need to do now is to assist these seniors to establish the veracity of his wild claims for the judge to rule in their favour.
I want to advise Sir John that, Dr Afari Gyan is not a nation wrecker but an uncompromising, honest, courageous referee who has proved himself over 20 years in declaring the right results without fear or favour. The whole international community hails him as such.
Why is NPP the only group saying they have been cheated. It has never happened anywhere that all the many observers, domestic and international; all the numerous media, domestic and international; all of them will agree that an election was free, fair and transparent when actually there was massive rigging to the tune of 3 million votes.
Sir John and the NPP leadership are rather the nation wreckers. Sir John is wrong.

Instead of putting the necessary measures in place to avoid rigging of the elections, you were busy taking bribes and making unilateral decisions to cloud out able minded people who could contribute towards the effective management of the party.
