Now fast-forward to February 2013, we are now being told that power production will begin in April of this year!

Folks, I will not hold my breathe for this one, not with the kind of gross incompetence we have in leadership currently.

NDC is a failed entity and they are leading Ghana down the path of failure. We need a paradigm shift! And we need it now!

The NDc has never done anything on time as far as promises and pledges are concern. Before the general elections, Mahama openly stated that electricity problems confronting the nation would be over in Nov last year but what do you see today? the situation has exacerbated to a point of near crisis with no hope of having the problem fixed anytime soon. What is really annoying is the inability to help pump water into our homes. What is the major challenge that the nation is confronting that is preventing the Ghana Water Company to just by pumps to help push water to our homes. It is money problem or lack qualify engineers to facilitate this problem which Technical High School Students in Worcester-Massachusetts, USA, with their teachers can fixed in no time? If Mahama and the NDC were any serious government they would cut down their salaries, reduce the no. of constituencies and stop paying huge somes of money to Woyomes, stop paying journalist for telling us lies, stop paying 'serial callers' to hook themselves to radio and television 24/7 and dedicate themselves to the core duties upon which they are in government, and stop wasting monies to master the tricks of rigging election, trust me , this water crisis will just be solve within the shortest possible time. We cannot manufacture bicycles neither do we have the technology to needles and pins but if laying underground pipes for water to flow to our homes is a problem, then where to we stand

Remember Akosombo took up a lot of resource, besides the many other projects Nkrumah undertook. Plans had been drawn up for the Bui dam with feasibility studies underway when the coup occured, and the project halted. I understand the original plans were for a bigger project than we have now.

Kufuor can only take the credit for resurrecting the project. The original was Nkrumah's brainchild.

It was earmarked in the 1920s for construction. The same with the Volta Dam.

The Bui Dam Project was begun in 2007. If it has taken this long to construct 62% of the transmission lines, how do you expect to finish the remaining 38% in two months?

If about 90% of the whole project has allegedly been completed within about sixty (60) months, then you needed six months for every 9%. This means you can not expect to finish the remaining 10% within six months.

Finishing the Dam itself is not the only criteria to begin production of electricity. Very important is the water level behind the dam. Up to now, noone has ever said anything about the water level.
