If you read the submissions of the EC yesterday, they stated that nobody voted without verification machine, and that in those areas where the machine were broken, voting was delayed until the 8th December. Now here the NDC is implicitly confirming that there were people who voted with facial identification in areas where the machines were broken down. Now who is telling the truth? I can wait until the real arguments begin in the supreme Court and see how some people will be grilled to the teeth.

Why will a bunch of “educated people” allow themselves to be ridiculed by one man-AkuffuoAddo?The truth is Akuffuo Addo has lost and lost his mind. Confused and desperate, he wants to remain “relevant” what he is doing is to cause trouble and confusion using some knuckle heads like the concert group that we saw displaying their foolishness in parliament during the president’s State of Nations Address. No decency, no conscience, and no self-respect. Mpianin and co are matured people and at this point, quiet frankly are so disappointed and embarrassed at their party and want to save it from sinking and degenerating fast. All the rest who think other wise are plane stupid, and that is the truth!
Does anyone really think this election has been rigged? Even the folks in the NPP secretly don’t believe that nonsense but they have to please their master Nana Addoat all cost, even to the nation..
The truth is that there could be irregularities in the election all right, but that should not be surprising for a new democracy like Ghana. Even today, Britain and the USA who been voting for centuries still have these problems. We still remember the recounts in Al Gore and Bush in the recount. Anyway, what makes NPP think the irregularities only occurred on their side? Are these people really reasoning at all? Do these people really think the Supreme Court would overturn the election and make Nana the president? Really? THIS NA BI COCOA HEAD REASONING OR WHAT?

The court stopped EC from conducting a by-election becuase the biometric register was not ready. The old system of facial identification could no longer be used. At least they have now accepted that people registered without the biometric identification.

Machines are made for people and not people for machines. The NPP can in a way be thanked for bringing up this issue for everyone to get an understanding. The biometric machines were brought in for purposes of verification, an extra foul-proof mechanism to remove doubtful persons from voting and doing away with multiple voting, to prove that you are who you say you are. It added to the credibilty of the voter. BUT, and the point here is BUT. It did not come to disenfranchise people who have been biometrically registered, due to malfunction,spent batteries or physical condition of the person, including disability, old age and hence non visibilty of finger prints etc etc. When all the other details of the person are known, such as house, spouse, facial appearance and whether known by people in the queue, these are all constitutionally accepted methods of identification that have not and cannot be taken away by the introduction of the biometric machines. Says who? Says the constitution which is superior to the LI on biometric verification. This point has been settled by a supreme court decision, so whether the EC says all voted with biometric verification or not, what the NDC is saying is that, that question should not even arise, because the supreme court decision on the photo ID settled the matter once and for all, and the "NO biometric verification, No vote" was dead on arrival, that is null and void. So get an understanding of the law and stop raising settled issues.

That issue was settled in a Supreme Court ruling on the photo ID. So the "No biometric verification no vote" was illegal as it was unconstitional from the very beginning. The constitution overides any secondary law that is found to contravene its provisions such as the LI on biometric verification and machines. So what the NDC is saying is that, even if people who were biometrically registered and whose names were in the register were identified by other means other than machines and allowed to vote, no crime or irregularity was committed. This is the position of settled law. Saying this does not mean it happened that way, but if it did,no offence was committed.

The court will take care of everything democratically. I don´t understand why the NPP took a case to court and would not wait for the court to rule the case, but instead judging the case themselves?
Please concentrate on your work for better Ghana and forget about the dances of the NPP arround you. They just want to disturb you not to concentrate on your work. We the lovely Ghanaians are all behind you. God and our Ancestors should bless and assist you, in your undertakings.

And that's the import of the NPP writ filed at the Supreme Court. Election fraud is a serious case and the NDC better bring themselves to accept that simple fact.

They [NDC] have become so familiar with cheating in elections---it's been going on since 1992---so they think it's cool, esp. when there's not resistance by the opposition party during the voting. So they keep on confusing Ghanaians that elections are won at the polls not in court.

If cheating in elections is cool and accepted by all, then why do we investing in EC to conduct elections; why do we go to the polls in the first place. The elections is meant to be free and fair.

When ignorant people like Koku Anyidoho makes public statement like "my aim is to make sure Nana Akufo-Addo loses in the elections, and when Boateng-Gyan and Asiedu Nketia would make silly remarks about NPP, then it's no surprise when they're caught pants down, trying to cheat.

If God has not ordained you as President, you don't have to cheat in elections because the Lord cannot be mocked! When He raises His hands of judgement, there will be serious catastrophe. NDC don't want to believe this gospel truth.

Amabila is spilling NONSENSE here: If verification was NOT important, why was the BIOMETRIC system introduced? The message, and the law were simply "No Verification no vote". This means if the machine (which is meant ONLY for verification) breaks down, the potential voter cannot vote. This also means, beside the machine, NOBODY has the right to identify, verify and authorize somebody to vote. Allowing people to vote without being verified was just ONE of the stupid tricks EC and NDC used to rig the 2012 election. Why doesn't Amabila explain his twisted logic infront of the honorable judges at the Supreme Court?

In NDC, those who have law degrees cannn't even line up simple logic. This is incredible!!!

The matter before court brings Amaliba in direct contention with the law. If his position were to be upheld, what power did the EC have to turn away voters who failed biometric verification? They had their ID cards so facial verification should have allowed them to vote! Yet the EC found it prudent to say NO! "no verification, no vote!"

The onus is therefore on the EC to explain why despite the Letter of the Law, it still "denied people" the right to vote! Voting took 2 days instead of one because the EC intended to deliver "working verification machines" so that "biometric-verification" shall be the basis for which a person was going to be allowed to vote!

If my argument is flawed, then the EC should defend why it went into day 2 of elections while the exercise could have been completed in a day "using the legally accepted Facial Recognition" parameter?!"

Amalib;, Ghana is not stupid like that ooo... You may be used to dealing with unintelligent people, but out here, you will be resisted like a demon!
