This claim of doubling the debts in itself is a serious claim, which must be viewed objectively and with apprehension, if true. It appears the NDC MP Mr Kwarteng did not deny the claim, so it is true. Incurring debt in itself is not a bad thing, so long as the money is used for investment purposes which can generate some returns to recoup the loan and interest and some profits. Is that the case?

The second serious claim of nothing to show for the money is a grave one and must be examined fully. Mr Kwarteng mentioned "gangs of four roads" the loans have been used on in addition to payment of salaries. I consider this rebuttal as most pathetic. Which roads are those roads, btw? And he meant to say govt borrowed that much to pay off civil servants too and will continue to do so? What abt the revenues flowing in? What are they used for? Which biz man will just borrow to pay wages? I thought the single spin scheme was to monetise many of the non-cash, colonial benefits mainly top civil servants were enjoying, e.g., maid servants, house boys, free car and petrol, etc. There shld be savings there which shld go to pay them! In fact, those benefits like maid servants, watchmen shld have been cancelled outright. Others like free cars, drivers and petrol shld not be monetised at least fully!

We need better answers to these serious claims. And pls, leave the insults out!

The likes of Kwaku Kwarteng in the NPP because they have no sense of shame pop up every now and then to peddle untruths and falsehoods. If they cannot see what the NDC managed to do during the Atta-Mills/Mahama 1st term in office, they should continue with their disgraceful acts of self destruction which is actually good for Ghana and will keep them in opposition for a log time.
