in USA and Canada trees are grown in huge amounts on farms for use as home building wood and also Christmas trees.Tropical wood is only used for furniture. And cheaper wood can be painted/stained to look like Mahagony or cypr ...

Going to a singles' bar, he spotted a woman whose beauty took his breath away.

This is a little too late. I have reasons to believe we have lost over half of our Forest Estate that was bequeathed to us at our Independence, since 1983.

The horrific unstoppable wave of disappearance of the Forests began with the all-pervading fire outbreak of 1983. Then followed the introduction of Chainsaw lumber-sawing in-situ which never seemed to attract the necessary Official concerns.

I returned from Ghana some two weeks ago, and I have still not recovered from the shock of what I observed with the state of our Forests.

The Government cannot wait any longer but impose a strict moratorium on Timber exports.

Long Live Ghana!!!
