The country is in a huge social security mess and chaos as if the nation has no concern elders or competent leaders running the affairs of country.

We have become orphans and slave beggers to foreign diggers who are collapsing our country with impunity whilst our government who is evidently in criminal ventures against the people, cares not.

Ghana is on fire!

I have said it here before and I will say it again and again that until a drastic and progressive holistic measures is put in place right now, a possible coup is inevitable and that should not be a shocker at all.

The state money they used to influence voters could have been put to good use, but what do we get? no water sleeping in darkness and heat rashes because of heat. School kids struggling to pay for their fees and uniforms when they claim the uniforms are provided free but not true.

Government is suppose to formulate policies that will encourage banks to offer mortgages that span at least 15 or 20 years,that can be affordable by working people.
But NO,instead politicians like this idea of Govt building houses for workers,so that they can turn around and buy 50% of these houses for themselves and girlfriends not to talk about the kick-back from the loans.Let people take care of their own accommodation and they will maintain the buildings.

Maintenance of Public Property is the weakest drawback in Ghana; and 'Regular Maintenance' is not in the Ghanaian Dictionary, fullstop. Everybody knows that. I wish feature writers will take it up as their duty to regulary feature individual Government Buildings like Korle Bu, to make it clear to the Ministers responsible for those properties that they should wake up.

This is the part of the story which made me think that the writer had an 'agenda';

A country of open sewage systems, filthy neighborhoods, dilapedated government and health facilities but yet our greedy bastards have the nerve to airplane themselves to foreign countries for treatment when they get sick, at the expense of taxpayers but have no common sense or decency to build or improve what we already have for the betterment of the whole country.

Where is our patriotism to build and improve our infrastructure?, Where is our patriotism to beautify our cities? Why is Accra the only place in the country that sees majority of the governments development? We have so many intellectyuals abroad but most of them are afraid to come home for fear of dying if they ever get sick. Why is that?

Do our leaders have any guts to embark on developing Ghana to any where close to the Emirates, China or even Angola? I doubt it. Maybe not in my life time.
