I am a head of an NGO working with CSW{commercial sex workers}in Kumasi and I have documented evidence of CSW have been sexually abused.
One of my clients was arrested at Plaza Hotel in Kumasi,she was taken to Asawasi police station,while there she was sexually abused by the officer on duty,after having sex with the officer called his colleague and 'said she is good come and take your turn' the lady refused,the officer took 150,000 old Ghana cedis from her and warned,if you want to work there then shut up.
I want to tell the Police commander that he does not know is men so he should be careful how he defends his men.

I truly believe that many of these officials who address the media, are under the influence of some kind of intoxicant, if in fact DSP Cephas Arthur made such a denial, he is either lying, or he doesn't know his job and he should be demoted.

Many Ghanaians daily see uniformed policemen propositioning women in public, in broard daylight while on duty, sometimes in the presence of a superior officer, without fear.

One incident that's etched in my mind happened at a police check point, a car was stopped by the police, while one officer was checking the male driver's papers, another officer was asking the drivers wife for her phone number, when the woman informed her husband of the policeman's advances, the husband left his vehicle and confronted the embarrassed policeman, who made a hasty retreat, while other drivers prevented the angry husband from persueing the disrespectful policeman.
