The renwal of AGOA for another 10 years is nothing but "BINGO"to GHANA and other SUB-SAHAN AFRICAN COUNTRIES.We have to take advantage of this to export to THE USA.It's left with us to enhance our industrial skills to take this advantage which the EUROPEANS & CHINESE have assumed the dominance. We do not have to sit down for them to employ and use our rich, strong working force to be under-paid to achieve their aims.We rather have to take the advantage to dominate in production with our cheap labour so we can reap in the whole deal afforded to us by the USA GOVERNMENT.
Corruption has no part to play in this if we deem this chance very serious and therefore exploit it with urgency.MAY GOD LEAD AND BLESS GHANA & AFRICA.

Almost 24 Hours after this article was posted, mine is the third contribution. Does this say anything about our priorities? Of course, it does.
To build my case further, go to SENSATIONAL or POLITICAL or INSULTING articles and you would notice, how quickly they get crowded with contributions. And so many of it.
A good example was an article posted on 4 March which did not have any substance to it but was about the pending Election Allegations case.
Within 24 hours, this merely speculative article that had NO sort of factual predicates to it and was poorly reasoned had had over 200 contributions.
Even our so-called Business Men and Women, who are quick to jump at the Ghana Government and other Govts and God for not granting them 'EQUAL ACCESS' in their Businesses never got attracted by this eye-catching topic on AGOA.
I am sure they are busily blogging away on the GOSSIPS and the SENSATIONAL and INSULTING stories.
A case in point; there was an article,
the only import of which was that Ambassador Victor Smith sent out correspondence to the effect that his proper designation was Ambassador and NOT Honorable. This engaged so many minds and so many labor hours that the last time I checked it had 83 contributions in less than 4 hours.
What the Americans have done by extending AGOA is to give Ghana and other Beneficiary countries yet another opportunity to RE-ASSESS our PRIORITIES and to do an INTROSPECTION as to how we seriously intend to achieve ALL these goals we have set for ourselves in the Budget read on March 5.
This is certainly an Initiative for the Private Sector, but does the Ghana Government have a role to play?
I believe so. At a minimum Government must be a FACILITATOTR and engage the Enterpreneurs and get the ball rolling.
Now is the TIME for ACTION. Our Govt Leaders Must start to Act.
