  THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO PROCESS THE FRUITS INTO JUICE AND CAN IT BEFORE EXPORT.THIS IS VALUE ADDED AND IT WILL FETCH MORE FOREIGN CURRENCY.IT WILL BE SIMPLER TO SHIP ALSO.

  this is a ploy nothing done conspiracy to deny mango exporters to compete in world market. in this era of hi tech there exist variety of insecticides,washing and cleaning equipments,storage and packaging facilities ease these upheavels. Beside mango is a delicious fruit that can be processed with value added tags to be bottled to canned for export .. so the opportunities exist . These cons are listings of shortfalls threatening black investors dreams . In a country like Ghana these are some of the proxies that local banks and district assemblies have to initiate for investment to creat jobs and maximize profits and incomes ..   What has been the stand of CSIR to this problem so far ??? Maybe canning the mangoes NOW MAY LOOK SUSPICIOUS and EU and USA may STILL NOT be satisfied.

  The CSIR-CRI has worked extensively on the problem. They were once supported by EDIF and have curbed the problem to this point but there is more to do to eradicate it. In the light of adequate funding to CSIR-CRI,postive results can be obtained to eradicate the constraint on mango production in Ghana.
