Mahama deceived Ghanaians into believing that he was blocking the sale of Merchant Bank because that was the politically expedient thing to do during the elections. Although all Merchant Bank insiders knew that the deal had Mahama's tacit approval.

My only problem with Ghanaians as a whole is our seeming docility and the ease with which it takes to corrupt us. None of the Bank's executives have come out to expose Mahama's shady backroom deals with FirstRand although it's an open secret.

It seems with time, our spirit of patriotism is waning, no one has the gall to call out any of their superiors because our jobs are a lot more important to us than the well-being of our nation and the legacy we're leaving behind for posterity.

Religion, blind tribalism and some aspects of our culture has created the perfect recipe that is slowly killing our ability to think logically. I weep for my beloved country.

The govt of Ghana shd also open its doors for a full fledged Chinese bank to be operational.

This will bring stiff competition and consequently benefit the Ghanaian populace

The sale of Merchant Bank is a device for John Mahama to free his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, of the loans he acquired from the bank under dubious circumstances without the mandated approvals. This sale allows Ibrahim Mahama to walk free of any commitment to pay back the loan. As is the fashion in Ghana, he can now openly and arrogantly boast of having been the first Ghanaian to have acquired a Lear executive jet through his own business acumen.

The open looting continues just as NPP did. Woyome, STX, Brazilian Embraer Jets...down on to $16 million in 15 months by the GFA.

The Supreme Court Judges need to realise that Mahama is not a god but ordinary human being.The country did not belong to him and has no power to sell Ghana assets without parliamentary approval.Mahama is unpatriotic,enemy of the country and a nation wrecker.He is not and elected president he was impose to us by Afari Gyan the man who hate to see Ghana prosperity and its development.Mahama lie to Ghanaians,he unfaithful,he lie to Ghanaians about lot of things including investigating 1.5tons gold saga,Cuba doctors train saga,Military plane purchase saga and this Merchant Bank saga.Supreme court Judges should thing about the future of their children and unborn once.They should look at the evidence that NPP provided them to save Ghana from destruction from NDC.

To cut matter short it was jerry who didnt allow the sole functioning of this lucrative bank. Now all those shareholders are dead and the government has to take custofy of this bank.
