  It baffles me how this small country of Ghana is quick to celebrate every kind of international day. Really, does this practice help to solve any of the problems facing the country? It seems we divert our resources and energy to things that are not important or beneficial. We cannot keep our lights on or have clean drinking water, but we find time to acknowledge and celebrate any kind of "international something". Nobody cares whether Ghanaians celebrate international women day or international human day, what will make news and bring improvement or development to Ghana economy is when it is heard that there is growth in our economy because our basic infrastructures are efficiently in operation across the board

  They are attending CSW57 at the UN and today International Woman's Day is acknowledged among civilized and caring people. Woman and girls must be respected as they are important to the development of Ghana.

  It is not polite to call someone ugly. She has put on a considerable amount of weight and that is a challenge. She must lead the war against obesity which is an underlying factor for various ailments such as diabetes, strokes, high blood pressure, etc. She really needs to eat less, do more exercise and watch her diet and life-style. As the new Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, she must lead by example.
