If GFA is not corrupt, it would have been firm with its Player discipline and would not bhave allowed Players who take temporal leave of absence from the team with flimsy excuses but what have been done cannot be changed but the Ayes should be expelled from the team immediately. When a cat is in the house,a mouse should not be making decisions. The Ayew brothers have overblown egos because they have been made to believe the Blackstars without them cannot win games or cups but a Blackstar team with or without them have performed to the same level and should be allowed to retire permanently to bring sanity into the team. They are trouble waiting to wreck havoc into the team and should be expelled, period.

Blackstars is a good striker away from being a good or great team and Ghana should start looking at Waris, Boakye Yiadom, and I like Yahya Mohammed of Amadeus Professionals who can easily be converted to as a striker. Invite Muntari and continue to groom Atsu and Wakaso, they are as good as Dede.

I said it and I will continue to say that again and again that both Abede Pele and Akwasi Appiah can influence the team if they become the head coach, they can be in the technical team but not the head coach. Lets Ghana forget about the world cup for 2016 and let focus on how to strengthen the entire body of the sporting administration most especially the Black Stars. What's available to us is what we take into accounts not any hear say. Now, what's available to us says that, Appiah invited Dede leaving Jordan. Marseille then said Dede was injured. The GFA said Dede should still be released for their doctors to review his injury. He was released on tuesday and was expected on wednesday. That never happened till he later proposed to touch down on the following wednesday's evening. It was then that the coach made a suggestion that if that's the case, Dede should stay and treat himself and join the team later during the W/C qualifier. Is there any problem with that? When Dede misbehaved in our match against Zambia did it not happen in the presence of the media and some spectators? What did he say, when he was asked to appologise? "They said I should appologise ....". In fact, I don't intend to delve into issues b'cos it's past but for God's sake we should be bold enough to rebuke and correct one another in love irrespective of your standing in society. The boys are wrong and I don't deny either that the GFA started by solving similar issues on a wrong footing but these boys should put pride aside 'cos it won't do them any good. I've made my point very clear here that if I were part of the B/S management committee, I'd have accepted their decision whole heartedly, thank them for their services to the country and tell them anytime thet want to return, they should send us another letter stating they've finally come out of their temporarily retirement. Both Dede and Jordan are fine players. They're not up there yet but with their current performance and the fact that they are young, there's always hope that something good will come out of them in a not too distant future. Dede is not a problem like Jordan and if Abedi is reading, I believe it'll serve in his best intrest to get a different team for Jordan but for as long as they stay in the same team only heaven knows.

I stopped commenting on this website because some idiots on this website hiding behind computers are creating irreparable damages with the Ghanaian reading public without knowing it. You are a well intentioned individual but unless you speak against people that are divisive, it will get to a point people like me can't sit and watch as ignorant and stupid brethren of our society tears us apart. Did you read most of these comments?

POW, you of all people know I'm fervently for the Black Stars togetherness because when the win I am happy but when the lose, I get sick for days. If a player misbehave I believe he should be fined heavily,($10,000+) regardless who they are. I am fully behind team unity but seriously against preferential treatment of some group of the National team players. What you see on this website is what happens in the GFA and blame needs to be shared equally if we are to move forward. I think Kwesi Nyantekyi have stayed pass his expiration date and should go now. I'll like someone young with current soccer knowledge to head the GFA and rid the organization of any form of -ism. Maybe we should get you or one of the knowledgeable and vocal people on this website who are educated to run for the presidency with our backing.

I appreciate the Nyantakyi's era a bit better than the others b'cos Ghana has since been to 2 world cups and stayed within the best four continously on 4 ocassions in African nations cup history. They would've been judged the best aminstration had they left office the W/C in 2010 but they manouvered to stay on and they keep drifting from grace to grass. Oh how pathetic? Currently, I don't know who's going to be the next FA boss. I've never been this scared as I hear of the Ade Coker's, Kojo Bonsu's and co shooting arrows from all angles. I pray it woudn't be any of them. By the way, it's not acceptable to absent your self for a long while b'cos of the lousy comments others give. Ghanaweb should be a medium through which we ordinary people participate in the national dialogue by insightful commentary and debate to assist decision makers in policy making issues as well as serving as unofficial oversight drivers because, our opinions (which in other countries as channeled through structured pressure groups or lobbyists) are key key factors in the decisions ultimately arrived at. But unfortunately, comments and or responses to comments on Ghanaweb leave much to be desired as some people find it the perfect place to propagate their bigotry-political or tribal.

Some counter comments will show you clearly that that the writers may not have understood your chain of thought but that will not stop them from telling you the most despicable things under this sun.It seems the more confused they are, or if you express a view contrary to what they hold in their twisted brains as the cardinal truth, the nastier are their comments or responses.

I once had the "effrontery" to disagree with an article that was threatening secession of one tribe from Ghana. I expressed the view that, though the status quo may be imperfect, the symbiotic rewards are worth a lot because the various tribes stand to lose the others' input in case of a break up.

This stirred the ire of someone who started with my trokosi ancestry down to my mother and ending on what a fool I am. Believe me, if he were to be within my reach, I would have strangled him because he is likely to be younger than my youngest son and I do believe that no matter how fantastic he is, he cannot talk to his father in such disparaging manner.

So a time comes when one resolves to just read for the sake of information and let the "wise guys" continue with their crusade.

With the audacity and the impunity to turn negotiations down in the face of reality, smacks of nothing but wanton disrespect and gross insubordination to the hand that fed them.

In fact, these lad's action have now plunged the GBS into disarray.
It hurts hard!
I couldn't tell what the others, the player pool and the inky fraternity i.e. multimedia are saying or would do about the Ayews series of unpopular pronouncements that have been fed us the last few days as we approach Brazil.

In 2010 South Africa, the whole Black race were united behind the Black Stars, and Mandela asked the name to be changed to the "Black Stars of Africa" Our most successful coach is CK who was also a Black stars captain. Nkrumah successfully used the team to motivate and build confidence in the people. Patriotism was high and corruption was low, Ghana had the best team and the best economy on the continent. Guys like Robert Mensah, Osei Kofi, Mohamed Polo, lbrahim Sunday, Malik Jabir, CK Gyamfi, Agyeman Gyau, Wilberforce Mfum etc played with joy for the love of the nation, and as Osei Kofi explained, when the players made it their goal to win a match, there was nothing that could stop them. Playing for the Black stars is an opportunity to contribute to the fight against racism, and as Sule puts it "to make the people happy" The Ayews must make a quick U-turn because they have a nice opportunity to use their skills to unite the people and raise the confidence of the nation, eradicate corruption and reduce the pain of the suffering masses. They must put their pride aside and humble themselves to write their names in the history of the continent. Polo was magic and Osei Kofi was a wizard, two of the best players that ever put on the colors of the Black stars,but they were always ready. Half fit Polo did not refuse to join the team at one time, and was flown to play for Ghana injured. (They were not paid) I personally admire Ayew because he exposed the TB Joshua nonsense and has played his heart out like his father did. He is a leader and will one day become the stars captain, so he must look at the broader picture and stop behaving like a kid, I know he is but he has always played a giants role in the team. The Ayews must find ways to bring joy, unity and confidence to the camp of the Black Stars ahead of Brazil 2014 as Ghana starts the journey to conquer the world. We must forgive one another as a nation, we must stop corruption and demonstrate love for one another, and unite behind the players and their coach, we must allow the GFA to continue their work because they are on the right track. No foreign coach. Remember no one is perfect, after all, none of us is happy the way we are treated by the people we employ to lead us, but we also know that "the back of your hand(palm) cannot be sweeter than the front"

First let me remind you that the Ayews' are southern Ghanaians, so you are wrong to think they are being discriminated against. It proves how narrow minded individual you are.

I personally disagree with coach Appiah for excluding the Ayew brothers in Black Stars camp. I think they bring vim and energy to our team.

Yet, be aware that every Coach envision his style of play and technical know how to invite certain players to fulfill his ambitions. I shall hope that the Ayews grow up to realize that the Coach is the first to admit that excluding the Ayews was not such a good decision.

To you, I also hope that you grow out of your hatred for southern Ghanaians. You asked, " what at all do Southern Ghanaians think they are?" that is very childish thinking.
In every country, the majority of an ethnic group carries a greater influence over the total minority population. That should not make you think foul, rather, prove your-self as an individual who can contribute greatly towards our nation building. Currently there are many Northerners who are doing just that very effectively. If you look around you will notice individuals as, President Mahama and many other Northerners are proving themselves successfully. Stop being a fool and push yourself up above the ordinary rather than submerging and burying your head in defeat. By doing so you will live your entire life in disgust.
When I lived in Germany in the 70's, I never allowed Germans to bring me down as an African. I fought each day with any stupid German who tried to discriminate against me. I did not win against the system, but I won many hearts and strides with individual Germans I came in contact with. I was successful.
Here in the United States, I have fought against racism form whites, Asians, Spanish and worse of all from ignorant Black Americans.
I registered and became a member of NAACP and other African American organizations. I can tell you that I have won many hearts.

To conclude, get out of your marginalized self. Be a Ghanaian that you are. Stop being an ignorant and a fool feeling angry that southern Ghanaians have something you don't have. From 1969-1972 I worked in a factory with over 90% Ewes at Juapong Textiles. Most of the Ewes were ignorants', chanting against me as a minority. I made great friends with the few smart ones. I proved to them who I am as a person, that won me many friends and became a darling. So get out of your ignorant nut shell that make you think that Southern Ghanaians think something against you. Prove yourself, make friends and and live free of hatred. You will die in misery for not exploring the many beautiful people you never got to known by your own ignorance. There are beautiful people every where, explore and Live Free of Hatred or Die Young in Hatred.

It is a good step to punish GFA. If the qualification of the upcoming WC failed the Nyantakyi and Akwasi Appiah will be sacked and open way for new Ghanaian to come. Kevin, Michael and the Ayews once again will be play and win matches for Ghana and Black Stars. We are fed up of corruption in Ghana. Let us all put our selves together to punish the recent government for their inaction on water and electricity as well as education issues.

Once you commit to love, there should not be an oversight of jealousy, and work of the enemy to set you apart. Once the mind is committed to achieving a goal, no matter what the enemy does to separate the two, the love you have can never be broken and the enemy fall short after trying several times to destroy the love you had.
That said I strongly believe being patriotic comes with more problems than love itself. Thus with love, sentiments and abuse comes from the inner self but with patriotism failure comes from the outer self. Why, once you are spot on, society's heart is filled. But remember, out of many there are also many that may like or dislike. A reason for different views to accomplish a goal through various means. That said and a perfect example being Jesus, those who loved His miracles were the same that called for His crucifiction. One should bear in mind, once you devote your life for a country, no matter what you do, you will stumble on some foot and trample on others head. Those affected will crucify you but those that love, you will sing your praise. But better beware and not think those that praise you are your best friends but rather your worst enemy. (Jesus)
In order to commit to a cause comes with discipline, knowing very well you cannot fill all hearts.
However there are causes of unpatriotism and what could that be: when there is no such thing as feeling belonging to a group and Kevin Prince Boateng is a perfect example.
Not being content with what you had and how you are being used by the state. Haven said that, must I admit love for country precede self and some. Yes indeed and I would put insults aside and fight to maintain what made me proud to be a Ghanaian.
Football is a war of pride and self esteem, other than that, what makes a Brazilian or German better than an American, English or the Ghanaian. Its just a game and nothing else, so why do some circles make soccer a do or die venture.
Patriotism is for one person I can call a hero in Ghana soccer and he is one and only Sulley Muntary. He had it all with Ghanaians and not even coaches but he humbled himself, work hard and Ghanaians fell in love with him more and more.
If I have had the chance to manage GFA I would build a formidable team with the materials at hand and make sure, black stars jersey is one to fight for. But not one to beg you to wear.
Akwasi Appiah is not good but that's all we have and must be content with him. What we must do with him is build confidence and also give him a chance to be himself.
No one is perfect and it's about time Ghana and black Africans be once proud of having a recognizable coach on the world stage from a black continent.
No matter how many hearts he will break, I will still support him, be content with him till he find his footing. Akwasi Appiah, be humble like Sulley Muntary and Ghanaians will fall in love with you again and again. But do not rest on your odds, work hard to shame your critics and prove to the world, after all black man is capable of managing his own affairs. Kwame Nkrumah said it, hold the touch and let it manifest. Yes you can do it.

First the GFA/Coach don't own the players and the GFA/Coach has the power and prerogative to invite and not invite players to the national team.
Second, players from good parental home and are financially independent will not stoop low and be reverencing a coach who sound and seem unintelligent.
Third, a player who plays in top European league will not take back seat to a third division player in Europe and bench warmers in sub standard league.
A player whose father has played in the international scene for long and accorded the respect world-wide have different perspective about the way things are done and do not acquiesce to whimpers and do not look for favours.
When there is no accountability and only the GFA PREZ is the Chairman of the Management Team of the Black Stars at the same time GFA representative at CAF then corruption creeps in and the coach is not allowed to be his own man.
The last but not the least, when the invitation to Black Stars is based on the ability to pay and selection goes to the highest bidder with oil money, the real professionals stays away and those who keep quite are threatened with "you are not fit"; they will be the same players who will one day say " I quit" like they say in the States. Now the GFA/COACH are in dilemma so Ghanaians are watching. This is the first time in my life that Majority of the People don't like what the GFA/Coach are doing to Ghana football. Over to you Hon. What is technicalities in the game of Akwasi James- putting Kojo Asamoah an offensive midfielder to play in defence as left back and play one man striker(azonto Dancer) when the midfielders can not hold a ball for just 30 seconds. Unlike you and your likes, who think Akwasi James is the best thing ever happened to Ghana- I for one have eyes and brains to sieve the chaff from the wheat and can differentiate between cheese from chalk. You mentioned Zambia and Nigeria- just check the pedigree of Steven Keshi and compare it with the Akwasi James records both as players and coaches and you will appreciate my reason why you JB can not differentiate between a chalk and cheese.! Keshi calls his players and talk to his players not the NFA or spokesman doing the hatchet job of paymasters. I am sorry if i sound harsh but Kwasi Appiah is not up to the scratch and can not take Ghana to the World Cup. I salute the gallantry of the Ayew Boys after all,Abedi Pele is not the only male in Ghana- others have sons so let them call them to come and play for Ghana. The Ayews have done much for Ghana so let us all call on Akwasi Appiah,Mohammed Polo, Akuetteh Armah,Osei Kofi, Tony Yeboah, Nyantakyi and host of the men including yours truly to also contribute our quota by allowing our sons to be called into the Black Stars since the Black Stars is not the property of the Ayew Family. Ghanaians don't want to take responsibility, don't want to account for anything- even asking Nyantakyi to account for his steward will turn into tribal warfare so JB "not every Ghanaian will succumb to "bull shit" that emanates from the GFA. Mark my word, Akwasi James himself will throw in the towel and the GFA members will vote a 'vote of no confidence' in Nyantakyi leadership. The sad thing is that it will come to pass after the mess has been created. Either we avoid such mess now by doing the right thing by asking the Coach to go quietly or dissolve the GFA. As for subjecting my postulations to critical reasoning is your cup of tea but as for me I know for damn sure that quality players like Essien, Kevin Boateng and Sulley Mutari will not play under P.E. TEACHER.!

What's the fuss anyway? Just a few weeks ago, they were told that they were not needed and that they could not be part of the Black Stars for one reson or other. It was surprising that striker Gyan be considered at the expence of Jordan Ayew. To me, Jordan is currently the best striker in Ghana.
No doubt Gyan has ever helped the National team but that is Hitory and history is the record of past event. If he really wants to be in the team he should look for a team, a strong team.
Oh Akwesi, why do you choose players to represent the national team from that part of football world?
We all wish you well but try to be yourself.
