  The aunt assisted the rapist to pervert the course of justice. For that reason she too should have been jailed.
  
  It is strange that the Police failed to prosecute the aunt. If it had not been the good samaritan's intervention, the convict would have got away with ruining the little girl's life. We need to educate everybody of their rights in order to remove their vulnerability to exploitation by criminals.
  
  Even when the police neglected their responsibility to prosecute the aunt, the Judge ought to have insisted on it. Failing that the Attorney-General or a women and juveniles organisation should have pressed charges against the aunt.
  
  Jailing a child rapist only ten years demonstrates from the point of view of this judge that in Ghana a child's life is cheaper than a chicken's. A criminal like that should have been castrated and jailed for life to serve as a deterrent to other rapists. It won't be surprising that this rapist has got away with raping other vulnerable children in the past.
  
  TChild rapists should always be castrated and banged into prison for life. It appears that Ghana is soft on criminals because nothing tangible is done to combat the tsunami of crime engulfing the nation. Ghanaians are terrorised from all angles by criminals condoned by the political leadership.

  You have got Mahama who saids he cannot afford a free SHS. Now an NHIS an insurance that affords all Ghanaians medical help by the various hospitals is all but collapsed.
  Ghana does not deserve our current faith.
  Ignorance is also a disease and that is where want to keep most of our youth.
