Did they depose in their affidavit that they are joining as NDC members?

No body is saying John Mahama or NDC rigged the election. We have EC and Addo and Mahamadu plus chairman is saying EC rigged the elections on John Mahama watch as the caretake president when Mill pass away. JM personal did add or subtract any vote, its the EC who did.
Where are the votes of our brothers and sister who voted in USA GB and all the other countries. Traveling 458 miles to vote in London from wales and my vote is not counted. Its a shame to EC and the man who gave them the job. If JM knew EC was going to rig the election, do you think JM will allow it.
If no, why cant he ask his supports to wait for the outcome of the supreme court and on the otherhand if yes, he help rig the election he should let ALL NDC member who love democracy to file their own petitions at the courts saying the 2012 general elections was rigged.

These joinders have genuine reason and fear that their constitutional right which they just exercised recently in the elections is in danger of being taken away and sir John expect the sc to agree to that.They must have a good reason otherwise it will trigger a constitutional crisis which will make a bad situation even worse!Lets see how it plays out.

Daily Guide reported that “the landmark petition in which three leading members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are challenging the declaration of John Dramani Mahama as President by the Electoral Commission (EC) in the December 7 and 8, 2012 general election is getting comical by the day, with over 500 people filing as joinders.”
Since this publication came out, a number of people have expressed their opinions about the joinders action. Some suspect NDC supporters have been paid to delay the court action. Others see it as the right of every citizen whose vote may be annulled if the petition is upheld to join the suit. The final decision as to whether or not a voter can join the suit as a respondent depends on whether the Supreme Court consider the voter a necessary or unecessary party.
In civil law, a necessary party is a party without impleading whom a claim cannot be legally settled by court. In other words, in the absence of a necessary party, no effective and complete decree can be passed by the court. There is no standard for determining who the necessary parties to a suit are. This shall depend upon the facts and circumstances of each case. For instance, in a suit filed against a public servant in relation to his public functions, the government shall have to be impleaded but in a suit filed against the same person in relation to his not paying maintenance to his divorced wife, the government shall not be a necessary party.
If the court applies these universal guidelines,and I know it will, the joinder applications by supporters will be refused by the Supreme Court.

I see your point but I am afraid you may be using a different jurisdictional procedure different from our common law to come to this conclusion.The only way to determine this is by locus standi or standing which determines eligibility to join or not.So the question then is how much interest has the applicant and how would the outcome of any decision affect the applicants for joinder.The constitution gives the applicants individually that right to protect their interest in electoral disputes especially if it will affect them directly.On this basis they are interested parties and will be directly affected by the outcome of the sc decision and therefore have every right to join the petition to protect their rights from the original petitioners who want to disenfranchise them by annulling their votes.

Who in his right sense of mind would undertake such a suicidal mission in Ghana, and expect the good people of the country to stand by? That will amount to an exclusive election. That is APARTHEID in brthe 21st century. That is not what Nkrumah fought for Anyway, the forefathers of NPP dined and wined with apartheid South Africa, so they are more at home with politics of apartheid and exclusion. Nothing complicated; and I find it mind buggling for a party that touts democratic principles and the rule of law as their birthright to oppose citizens who feel their voices are being threatened going to court for redress, but in the same vein hail hooligans holding rallies and threatening chaos. I HONESTLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND. IF THE SITUATION WAS REVERSED I WONDER WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!
