As much as I think Mahama admnistration will end up being the worst government in the annals of our history eclipsing that of the Mills and Limann quixotic administrations, the word coup should be exorcised from lexicon unless NDC banish other political parties and declare drossmanian ATOPAHENE Mahama as a President for life.

As it is now, we should allow the Supreme Court to rule on the election court case and whatever the decision is, wait till 2016 for Ghanaians to choose the next President. We cannot afford to lose our freedom of speech and association. Any kind of coup or I will call it mass uprising should come from our civilian population when the thieves in Parliament in conjunction with the Mahama administration continue to pilfer the coffers of the country's treasury.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them.

Check with every top position in Ghana and see who is at the helm of affairs; ewes. Though we are all Ghanaians if the ewes would not stop bashing Ashanti's and though Ashanti's have been calm minding their own business. One day the pot will crack and Ghana will go bongos.
For Appiah Menka to come out and cry about these three evils, I bet the ewes have touched him. The silly and evill deed in killing all Ashanti's business will surely come to hunt them.
The irony is these evil doers are stealing money from Ghana to build Mansions in Benin, where they truly believe is their native land.
But the funny thing is they are using Ga's and other tribes to deceive rest of Ghana or to hate the Akan's.
Ashanti's never did that but hatred initiated by these stupid ewes on Ashanti's will one day backfire and the whole Ghana will collapse. Yet indeed, what makes a Ghanaian different from Liberian or Rwanda's aren't you all niggers with the same dirty mind.
It is only the black man who think he/she is better than any other person on earth and the reason for violence, theft and greed.
Trust me I am broke but content with what the good Lord has given me and I will continue to worship my God.
Ashanti's this, ewes that belong to the stone age and I am sorry to say, Ghana is still in the stone age.
If even the leader of Ghana can boldly tell Ghanaians that dum so dum so is an act of God, then I don't know what poverty would be an act of?

In fact, it does not confer any special privilege or status whatsoever on us as Ghanaians.Whatever one achieves in life is through hard work.

My singular personal worry has always been this - the fact that people see issues of national importance only in tribal and / or party political terms, usually mainly partisan, (whether NDC or NPP, both guilty) and refuse to see reason, analyse things abjectively and provide useful unbiased opinions which can help improve things. This is further made worse by corruption which has pervaded our society over the decades.

I am glad that Elder Statesman Appiah Menka holds similar views, and before anyone tries to politicise these views, please think, and think again. I have been consistent in challenging this very approach to every analysis, actions / omissions etc. of both government and the president as well as people's analysis of the economy, reports and other matters of national importance, both past and present.

For me it is simple. We cannot hope to move forward as a nation and realise what we all want - for Ghana to move out of poverty and enjoy at least a middle-income status where the majority of our citizens can life fairly well.

There is no single tribe, party, group or person who can achieve this. It takes a collective national effort over a period of time. We also need to be honest, seek thebest interests of the nation and weed out tribalism and corruption if we are to make good sustainable progress and prepare the grounds for the next, and future generations. We need 'all hands on deck' not tribes and narrow-minded political crass. For once, let us all listen to a voice of reason - Mr Appiah Menka, and no party point-scoring please.

So far as we swallow the doctrine that the government should not be involved in business, this problem will continue to grow. Kwame Nkrumah wrote in his book, "The struggle continues" that when he came to power, there was not a single factory in Ghana. So he built factories that employed people. A whole lot of them,including workers brigade who were planting food, plus the State farms Corp. There was nothing like unemployment during these years. There factoies that he set up were about to break even and turn a profit when he was overthrown. GNTC, Ghana National Trading Corporation which was the retail arm of government and owned by Ghanaians, had turned a profit of 4million pounds in 1966. GNTC could be found in every town.
So if we don't go back to the doctrine where government builds factories spread out nationally, and we depend on the bankrupt western nations with their dead doctrine of old capitalism, our problems will continue to grow. In order for the west to survive they need to rebuild their collapsed factories and produce for the African market of a billion people. They know that private individuals in Africa don't have the capital to build factories. So the only business left for us is buy and sell anything without producing.
All our minerals are exploited by western nations and we get 3% royalties plus taxes that they declare. The oil companies at Jubilee haven't paid a dime in taxes.
To get any money, you have to go into politics so you can get some shares in the distribution of the national cake. That means you have to satisfy the people in your area or tribe. Because we are not producing and earn less than 3 dollars a day, we have to live big by any means possible.
The Solution is as I have outlined in my previous articles here on this website. The government must as a matter of urgency establish industrial parks like China did so that we can produce what we need and employ the youth. We must stop issuing licences for minerals to anybody and establish our own mines like State Gold Mining Corporation. Then we can be on a good path to economic independence.

Hardships could give way to military action – Nkrumah

Sekou Nkrumah Hands

Dr Sekou Nkrumah says government’s approach to addressing the country’s economic challenges could invite a military takeover.

Speaking on Okay FM in Accra he said that indecisiveness on the part of the presidency coupled with the erratic supply of power and water is an indication that the country is in an absolute mess.

It is glaring that the actions of government are compounding the already terrible situation rather than addressing it, Dr Sekou Nkrumah is reported to have said.

The third son of Ghana’s first president cautioned that the prevailing circumstances could lead to serious disturbances, akin to what transpired in Egypt and Tunisia a few years ago.

Shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and the unreliable supply of power and water, he noted, were the legacies of late President Atta Mills.

Against that backdrop, he advised President John Mahama to desist from acts that could leave the military with no other option than to intervene.

President Mahama can only avert a military action if he humbly announces his resignation, Dr Sekou insisted.

Dr. Sekou Nkrumah announced his resignation from the NDC in last year citing bad economic policies.

He publicly endorsed Nana Akufo-Addo of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

What are the alternatives? He needs to offer us credible, constructive and sustainable solutions.

Appiah Menkah should add religion and superstition to the long list of woes, dependency culture, envy, jealousy and of course polygamy. The politics of insults, the media, our penchant for destroying each other, cheating, sakawa, mass youth unemployment, etc.

Some men have so many children, knowing very well they cannot afford to look after them. Why did he leave out drugs? What happened to one of his own sons? Arrested for concealing drugs at the airport. Did he swallow the drugs? He should clean his own backyard first.

We have to tackle the many vices - alcoholism - the ogoglo (akpeteshie) drunkards, the brain drain, our refusal to invest in modern technology and relying on some of our outmoded practices and traditions.

Appiah Menkah has been around a long time. What did he do about nepotism over the past 17 years? As an astute lawyer, he has contributed to the culture of silence surrounding these vices.

He loves his women and is rumoured to have fathered about 19 children with several women. How does he keep track? A whole lawyer!!

As a member of the council of elders of the New Patriotic Party, we have to ask whether he gave the nod to the nomination of Bawumia and why?. Did he honestly think Nana Akufo-Addo would win? This choice was purely tribal. Politically, it would have been "suicidal" for the NPP to select 2 Southerners for presidential elections in 2008 and 2012. Our leaders have failed us. They contribute towards this North-South divide and the tribal politics by not challenging the decisions. It is no longer the person with the best skills for the job, but what tribe he comes from. As for the pastors, deceiving the masses, no one says much. We say we are poor, yet we are prepared to pledge and give GHS1,000 to an evangelical pastor (often illiterate or semi-literate, £500 for a holy bath and £1000 for olive oil. This lecherous and rogue pastor, often grabs the hard-earned funds of the gullible members of the congregation, goes to build huge mansions, wears snake leather shoes and shiny suits, with psychedelic hair-cuts, ostentatious gold jewellery, rides the latest expensive cars (SUVs) and builds gargantuan church buildings.

We are afraid that if we do not go to church everyday, we will die prematurely, our enemies will destroy us or everything in life and business will go wrong. Our children will be controlled by the devil. We have been brainwashed into a dependency culture. We are searching for miracles in the wrong places. Dog eat dog. Every politician is chopping Ghana's money, filling their stomachs and squandering our wealth. The reason why many go into politics is to enrich themselves and their family members and enjoy the freebies.

Come again, Appiah Menkah, so far, what have you done to prevent corruption, dirty politics and tribalism in Ghana over the past 30 years? You are as guilty as the rest of the so-called professionals who hid behind their desks and cry foul when all goes wrong. You could have made a greater impact by coming out of your shell years ago and assisting us with business skills such as Alan Sugar has done with "the Apprentice" in the UK.

Do you impart any business skills to the community or the youth? How many of us know how to write a business plan? Give us a break!!
