Parents too have had enough of that this time we the parents are not going to seat down for the teachers to take us anymore for granted if they joke we will sue them because we pay our children fees as well as extra classes they better deal with the government and leave the student alone, we cannot always be at the receiving end is hard time they release it that they are not being fear to their student, they always sack them if they fail to pay their fees and when they do nothing should stop or interrupt them from leaning as well as writing their exams.

You demand for higher salaries to enable you send your own children to private schools to the detriment of your students. Please, Productivity first before rewards.
If you examine the passes rate very carefully, you will realise that those at the forefront of these agitations contribute nothing to the development of their students and education generally. Their class students fail woefully in the subjects they teach.

You people only know of insulting teachers when they embark on strike but you will never sit down for a minute to reason if the concerns of the teachers are legitimate.

I for instance was recruited since 2011 but have not received salary up to now.
Most of my fellow teachers have sucessfully been promoted but they rather had their salaries deducted instead of increasing.
Some for almost six years in active service have never been promoted even once.
Since December till now there has been a major deduction of teachers salaries for no reason and the account general has refused to issues payslips for teachers to see what is really going on.
The single spine for teachers alone has turned into something else with some teachers receiving half of the pay they are supposed to get under the single spine.
Authorities look unconcerned on these issues. The government must wake up and put things in the right way. After all a teachers whole life salary is just a year salary for an MP in Ghana.
