Many teachers are without schools because many schools are closed. Any school which has less that 100 pupils from p1-6 for example is clossed and kids taken to another school with better condition! Many teachers become redudndant while those engaged are well paid. In fact, a basic school teacher earns a little over 1000-1400€! May be that is what GNAT and NAGRAT want in Ghana! Why can´t the Government and the MoE do that for now? This will be more effective and better supervised rather than a school with 25puils with 1 or 2 teachers with text books etc! The waste is too much! Let us think about it!

David Annan, listen very clear. Your president, upon assuming power, ordered a review of his salary and the funny thing is he has tax exemption status. His salary was increased astronomically and an arrears of four years will be worked for him. Mahama has all the freebies he can imagine and what exactly does he need those monies for?

When the president's salary was increased, it became a recipe for disaster in the sense that every worker in Ghana will demand salary increase because Mahama open the way of such stupidity.

The Teachers are humans too and need salary increase. One fact is most of these teachers are living a horrible live especially in the hinterland so, their salaries should be somewhere in between to attract others. If the teachers quit massively, how will they be replaced? Or NDC will use their "foot soldiers" as replacement?

On average u collect more money than teachers in the private schools. On performance, u can match the private schools. So what are we talking about?.
Our demands should be performance driven. Today, u can give a teacher 2000gh.cedis. Tomorrow he will complain.
