I will appeal to the general public not to contribute one red cent to help the victims not because I am a cruel person but to teach our corrupt politicians to stop buying votes.

During the last election, NADMO materials were used to buy votes and most of these same Northerners accepted old clothese, iron sheets and other items that would have come in handy at this time to help them and they sold them for pennies on the dollar. Now that we need these items for them, they are not there and I don't feel sorry for these victims. Next time they will not sell their votes for NADMO materials.

It is proper and just for NADMO to appeal to President Mahama to convince those private individuals or businesses that are bent on sponsoring some 200 hundred "men of God" to Israel to channel that amount in rescuing our brothers and sisters who have been rendered homeless by the rainstorm. This is a more noble and meaningful cause to pursue than the pilgrimage with its brouhaha. Why do those who are to sponsor the 200 pastors want to remain anonymous? Why doesn't the President really clear the air by naming the group? What should be secret about it? Or is the President the private individual who wants to be 'magnanimous' by sponsoring the pilgrimage? Why be afraid to let the 'would-be pilgrims' know who it is? Simply aborting it won't resolve the question of the mystery of those hidden or unknown faces eager to sponsor a pilgrimage. Let them, if they so wish, respond to the needs of those displaced by the rainstorm.
