If Rawlings did half of what Hitler did in Germany, Poland, Serbia etc,there will be no Ghana. Rawlings was a political novice and aligned himself with Castro and Gaddafi, thereby antagonizing much of the West.Ghana had to pay dearly for it for the sanctions placed on Ghana's economy. I am not a real fan of Jerry but sometimes you give the devil his due.
There is nothing wrong in recognizing one's mistakes and failures and recomending to other governments to build on where one failed. If Rawlings had shown political sagacity and had not antagonized the West who controlled the World's economy, he would have been very successful. That is the painful truth. You can't beat them. If you don't want to join them, don't cross paths with them.
Konadu and Jerry could not solve the water and electricity problems of Ghana but believe you me that it was his time that rural electrification started, especially in the Northern and Upper regions.
