Nsemfoahi, that is not true at all. Leaders lead people. They enact laws and policies and show the direction people should follow. Presidents, especially Ghanaian, appoint people to positions to implement policies and manage state departments. In Ghana, when there is a change of government, our stupid leaders change even the people that sell toilet paper to people going to "bomber latrines" By doing that, they disrupt the continuity in running the state affairs and thus plunge the nation into chaos. The people they appoint reflect their intellectual capacities, honesty and vision. If they appoint no good judges, they award no good judgment debts against the state so they can share their ill-gotten booty.
The corrupt managers they appointed to Electricity corporation ensure that the revenues they collect from electricity sales go into their pockets rather than government coffers. The sad part of the plot is that they don't care if the people "suffer in hell." The only fault of Ghanaians is the type of leaders they elect to manage the country. If we do not begin to vote with our heads, our suffering will continue because if "no good people lead no good people the result is no good" as we are all witnessing. God help us all!

I believe transparency loving Ghanaians would love to see the culprit taste the warm air from the air conditioners in the courts as they stare at the wig of the judges and listening to the loud noise emanating from the huge electric generators mounted outside the court rooms.
GHANAWEB please take this matter up from where Anas got to. Keep the pressure until some huge numbers are heard coming from the judges’ mouth; be it refund numbers or imprisonment numbers. Good job!!

Now ghana is in the "dark" because of insufficient electricity supply. Ask yourself, how can this corporation be successful when corporations refused to pay their FUCKING BILLS? THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH ANYWHERE. A hardworking Ghanaian owing a month bill would have had a blackout, yet the electricity corp. allow these FUCKING big companies accrue so much unpaid bills that it is affecting everybody in the country. If we stop thinking during election and allow evil people who take us for fools to buy our "brains" with "olonka of rice," or laptop or whatever, then we deserve what we get. You can cook the rice and eat it today but forfeit electricity and water tomorrow because the money meant to maintain the flow of electricity and water was used to buy rice for you yesterday. Ghanaians must start thinking about the future and not just the moment.

It is not bad to appoint such a young man like Ato to such a big position as Deputy Finance Minister. However, I understand he worked as a security man in UK and later operated his own security staffing agency. I hope the verting committee will properly evaluate his qualification, experience and accomplishments in public finance & economic management to ensure he has the appropriate capacity to perform. I don't mean the paper/school certificates he may have, but the tangible/practical knowledge and hands-on skills that would enhance his performance. Can he roll up his sleeves from day one in in office and make practical impact in fixing the looming finance and economic problems confronting the nation now? These points are very important beacuse the state of Ghana's economy now, requires people with very solid background in public finance/ecomomics to manage the ministry of finance. There can't be any room for an intern finance minister. The 2013 budget is a true indication that Seth Terpeh himself is significantly dificient of any effective and effcient solutions for Ghana's current finance and econimic woes. NO POLITICS, PLEASE!!!

If you an NPP person in a position during an NDC regime, your head will roll, otherwise, the issue will be silently brushed under the carpet. The same is true for te NPP regime. We as a people do not know disgrace and get bolder when we do such things. The Nigeria president recently pardoned an ally who was arrested in UK on money laundering but managed to leave the country by dressing as a woman. Dr. Anane was given another ministerial portofolio after he has been axed from the MOH.
