Dude,i do understand ur point here.but the eu themselves know that they´ve the whole of african in their hands,they can manupulate africa any time they want.imagine germany where u live has population of 85million ppl,british 60million and usa 300million ppl.they all have one language for their entire nation,which if u travel from north to south they all understand each other,but our case is different ghana with 24million ppl with almost 50languages so how do we co-opperate.even look at our political arena at moment full of choas.

I wholeheaartedly support a ban on importation of meat and chicken from the EU.

This would help our local farmers boost agric production, and save us foreign exchange.

Whatever the case just return the favour. Just find new markets if it is nothing to do with quality, cancel orders from them and divert the orders somewhere else. Two can play that game, and don't go begging.

This export ban is a very good example Ghana has to learn from it.This ban indicate both trade and economic sanctions.This is the time Mahama has to budget for innovation and start manufacturing our own products.Canada has budget $1billion for their own auto industry this came about as US closing their auto factories render Canadians jobless to maintain skill labour and develop flesh mind for their industry.KOSA has made cars ,generators,TVs,sewing Machines,welding machines and many more and our youth who will lead the country in the future are selling dog chains and armed robbers and they can be proud of being engineers at KOSA.Surely according Mahama fools are ruling indeed.

This will always be the case for Africa so long as we refuse to be innovative.
Though in the short term these companies and the nation will suffer,I believe it will benefit them in the long run(See how innovative we became during the famine of 1983).
When the international commnunity prevented China from participating in the The International Space Station(ISS) (on the flimsy excuse that they will steal the technology)they(China) never gave up.Today they are the only country in the world that can boast of its own international space station apart from the one owned by the international community.
ECOWAS and OAU should try and make trading easier among its members.
Europe no matter how much they help Africa,has its interest to protect and rightly so,and that is what they are doing now,no matter the excuse they give.
Please ECOWAS and OAU help faciltate inter-trading within Africa(e.g this should include smooth and seamless inter-regional banking transactions ,good communication systems,inter-regional transportation net work,assisting the companies involved etc.).
It may sound difficult,but lets not forget that a journey of thousand miles begins with a step.Once we start trading amongst ourselves it will surprise you the speed and pace at we develop.
All is not lost till the hope to succeed is lost.

A very shy guy goes into a nightclub and sees a beautiful woman sitting at the bar. After an hour of gathering up his courage, he finally goes over to her and asks, tentatively, "Um, would you mind if I chatted with you for a while?"

She responds by yelling, at the top of her lungs, "No, I won't sleep with you tonight!" Everyone in the bar is now staring at them. Naturally, the guy is completely embarrassed and he slinks back to his table.

After a few minutes, the woman walks over to him and apologizes. She smiles at him and says, "I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. You see, I'm a graduate student in psychology and I'm studying how people respond to embarrassing situations."

To which he responds, at the top of his lungs, "Two-hundred dollars? What do you mean $200?!

Thank God! I hope the ban remains for the next 6 years. That way we can have more tuna to sell and buy locally. Ordinary tuna is now too expensive on the market. God you are too good sometimes.

Whatever, I think you have made the most brilliant point here, our people deserve better. If this means the Tuna companies will develop their home market well, then to God be the glory. Ghanafou eat the Tuna and be happy.
