As you rightly said, they do marry each other, celebrate their yearly festival together etc--they are the same people; very organize in that sense, play very good borborbor with very creative dancers.. BUT they would rather fight than unite and move forward, so why don't we just leave them alone?

SASADU is a name adopted by the people of Saviefe, Akrofu, Sovie and Alavanyo. According to history, they are members of the same Sa family of Notsie. During the migration of Ewes from Notsie to the present day Ghana, members of the family created and settled in four settlements along the way, with the last batch settling at the present day Alavanyo.

Because of the family bond, these people consider themselves as members of the same family. In the early 60's, they decided to form the SASADU which stands for Saviefe, Akrofu, Sovie and Alavanyo Development Union (SASADU).

As you can see, the Nkonya's are not part of the SASADU family. The Nkonyas are Guans and were not part of the Ewes migrated from Notsie.

The author talks of the MCE of the area. I wonder which area is being referred to. Administratively, Nkonya and Alavanyo fall under two distinct administrative districts.

As for the killing, I say it is unfortunate that this should be going on today. Last year, I suggested that the area under dispute be turned into a forest reserve and enforced as such. Even if it becomes necessary, a detachment of soldiers could be stationed there so that part of the disputed area could be used for training in Jungle Warfare. This will discourage farmimg and hunting and bring a lasting peace.
