And this is how it works and you and Justice Kpegah both know the truth - 1. His surname inherited from his father which is in itself a European tradition not an Akan one is Akufo - Addo. Back in the day no Akan siblingling bore the same names even. They could have the same father and mother and it would be Yaa Nimo, Ama Sarh etc 2. Given names - as part of Akan tradition he will be named after family members or respected and liked persons of the family - his name Addo -Danquah, 3. As part of our colonial heritage he is christened William and he uses this formally during his years in education 4. As part of his heritage of being born a royal he is Nana whether he calls himself so or not. No different from the opposite scenario where Prince Harry Wales of GB one day decides to drop the use of Prince. He would nonetheless have been born a prince and there's nothing he could do about it. The man's names are William, Nana,day of the week born eg Kofi, Addo, Danquah, Akufo- Addo. Now are NDC folks also bothered that he does not use the traditional name which denotes the day of the week you are born as an Akan? I am sure he has one of those too but prefers not to use that too. Indeed his name is also Bill if like to use it too being a Wiliam. We can go on and on if we want to be obtuse as you guys are being. Barack Hussien Obama is hardly ever refered to as such folks! Justice Kpegah Must Pay The Gh¢689,840.00 He Owes

The Young Patriots wish to express their disgust at the abuse and deliberate running down of State Bungalow by a retired Supreme Court Judge and the refusal by no less a person than Justice Kpegah, who ought to know better to hand it over.

Ever since his resignation from the Judicial Service as a Supreme Court judge on the 4th of December 2008, which required that the he vacates his property, Justice Kpegah has been living on the largess of the state, for the last 6½ years.

The Young Patriots can confirm that he resided at his Osu residence, close to the Passport Office, adjacent the Apex Bank, for two years before his December 4 resignation and has refused to vacate this property.

Over this period, he has refused to pay rent, water bill and electricity bill for this 5-bedroom house property he occupies with his wife and two children, out of the eleven (11) he has.

The property is going for a market value of $6,000 a month, but was discounted at $3,000 for a month because of his status as a Supreme Court judge. This will bring it to a total of $324,000 (GH¢618,840) for the 6½ year duration, which he owes. We can also confirm that Justice Kpegah owes water bill to the tune of GH¢23,000, with electricity bill totalling some GH¢48,000 yet unpaid.

Justice Kpegah owes a total of GH¢689,840.00 on rent and utility bills on the 5-bedroom state bungalow. This bungalow has been rundown so badly that it even houses poultry and pigs.

As though this was not enough, we can confirm that a Tata 4x4 vehicle he acquired, through hire purchase, has still not been fully paid for. Furthermore, a Peugeot 607 vehicle allocated to him by the Judicial Service when he was a Supreme Court Judge, also to be paid for through hire purchase, has not been paid for.

As a law abiding citizen, the Young Patriots expect Justice Kpegah to pay the rent plus utility bills he owes which amounts to GH¢689,840.00 and also pay for the cars he drives.

On the recent suit filed by Justice Kpegah against the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, most well-meaning Ghanaians are shocked by what they describe as an absurdity on the path of the retired Supreme Court judge.

What Justice Kpegah is telling Ghanaians is that Nana Akufo-Addo indulged in self-impersonation, which is in itself very ridiculous.

However, we the Young Patriots were not surprised by what he has done. Indeed, this clandestine plot was hatched during the tenure and with the full knowledge and sadly, the blessing of the late President, John Evans Atta-Mills. This writ filed by Justice Kpegah was done with the help of former deputy Chief of Staff, Alex Segbefia. We will leave the finer details for later.

All we are asking Justice Kpegah for now is to pay what he owes the state and move into his own building, which we understand he doesn’t have.

Idiot, stop being a fool and learn. In England, people are trained to become lawyers by the four Inns, Middle Temple where Nana Akuffo was trained, INNER TEMPLE, GRAY and LINCOLN INNS. Many world leaders including a Former British and India Prime Ministers were trained as lawyers by these Inns.

The Inns are still operational where students are still admitted and trained lake lawyers like GIMPA in Ghana.

Some prominent Ghanaians too became lawyers by the same route Nana Akuffo followed. Have you heard of Mensah Sarba, the man Mensa Sarba hall at LEGON was named after? What about J.E Casely-Hayford, another prominent name who also has a hall named after him at University of Cape Coast? These gentlemen received their law degrees or training from the Inns. Another Ghanaian lady lawyer at the World Court in Hague was trained at the Inns.

Our own Dr Keane Nkrumah enrolled at the Inns to be trained as a lawyer but dropped out. Sad Ghanaians are not in tune with our history and seem to talk from their anus. President Kuffour too received his law certificate from the INNER TEMPLE.

You have some writing here giving the impression they have never been to school. They could do with another spell at JSS and SHS to learn how to read, write and spell and understand the difference between facts and fiction and to be able to prove or disprove them.

Politics in Ghana has now been shamefully reduced to kindergarten or play school of 'you do me, i do u' as the saying goes. Instead of focusing on issues that affect the lives of Ghanaians, and there is plenty to talk about, such as healthcare, education, building the much touted infrastructure, housing, security, water, electricity, safe transport, manufacturing, food production, prices, education and education, we dissipate our energies talking about irrelevancies.

This is not helped by a retired chief justice entering the affray with politically motivated nonsense of personal denigration of a fellow professional whose reputation and record in the legal field can only be matched by a few.

This is not the first time that allegation has been made against members of the law profession in Ghana. In most cases it has been swept under the carpet. Is it not true that a member of the law Profession was jailed for trafficking in drugs in the UK but returned to resume practising? Are there not barred lawyers practising in Ghana?

Has it not been brought to the attention of the Chief Justice that a rapist who has serve a term was
among their mist? Anybody who cares to goggle "Barrister jailed for rape" reported by BBC on 18th of June 2003 clearly show that the culprit who has other offences to his name has been admitted and practising in Ghana.

It is not a case of the public doubting Nana's credibility, but the "silence" and the hushing up of cases is creating doubt in the minds of the public especially when "one of them" is casting
aspersions on the integrity of a member.

Lancing College is not quite Eaton or Harrow College but that is where the Kuffours and the Akuffo Addos sent their wards.It is a secondary school but someone in the past tried to pass it off as where Akuffo Addo studied Law.

As an Economics graduate he made quite an impressive and smooth transition to be elected to the Bar at the Middle Temple. Which Chamber was he apprenticed to? Then he worked for a Law firm in France which has become defunct and so conveniently cannot provide any work reference.

He was registered to the Ghana Bar Association immediately on his return to Ghana, some say he was given preferential treatment which did not probe his qualifications.

That, he has practiced law in Ghana and his Chambers has trained Ghanaian Lawyers is not in dispute. Some people have practiced medicine and even surgery without obtaining formal qualifications. But when you are eventually exposed, your good deeds do not provide mitigating plea. The exceptional fraud is what soils one' reputation.

Nana Akuffo Addo should cease the chance and prove all doubters wrong. A list of supporters cannot make his case for him. Frank Davis and Co are really not heavy weights. They may be loud in Ghana but their contribution to legal doctrine is virtually nil.

We need proof that, YES, Nana Akufo-Addo went through the due process to become a lawyer. It is not enough to argue that he has been practicing for many years and had even appeared before Mr Kpegah as a judge.

Nana Akufo-Addo must now prove that he is the same William Akufo-Addo by showing us the evidence and shaming Mr Kpegah. SIMPLE.

He must do what the Vice President,Amissah-Arthur, did. He silenced and shamed his accusers.
