Walk the talk, whatever happened to the $25million dollars you received to improve education in your commune? Why always private public partnerships? the clever means of stealing from the state. This so called private/public nonsense is a severe blemish, and a disorientation whereby third world gov't officials only give half measures of themselves. Government must go it alone, to contain the cost of education.

Nana with all respect, can't you see that Kumasi the Ahenefie of the Kingdom of the Great Ashati Empire is being run down by notoriously armed criminal hoodlums and that the once beautifully peaceful garden city of West Africa is horrendously giving way to lawlessness, crooks, filth, garbages, chaotic insecurity, elderly disrespectfulness, unethical culture like robbery and drug abuses? Today, the whole Kumasi is clouded with panic and fear, how should have to sit helplessly for few to take us hostage?
The Great Ashanti Kingdom was established by the blood of our bold and brave ancestors and we need a real powerful and motivatively inspiring King at these moment of our people being nationally deprived, tribally abused, social economy and politically neglected, our people maginalized in state political appointments with you yourself having been dishearteningly disrespected with all sorts of name callings by unscrupulously riffraff nobodies.
Where is our Asante Kotoko? The powers of Nzema and Angona Kotoko?
Yes we need funding not only for the polytechnics but for the entire collapsing schools in the Ashanti region and all over the nation for that matter.

We always miss the point of having to find smarter ways to act and manage. Innovation and efficiency for results is never on our minds. We can not even collect, treat and distribute river water to our people for drinking and household use. Wake up sleeping giant Ghana.

When my late uncle was a chief Technician at BRRI, at Tech, Kumasi, he mentioned of a research into materials to replace the conventional cement, i do not know whether the product is now in the market as a substitute for cement.
I think one of the problems in Ghana is how people wish to have quick money.
May be things will change in future. But when? God bless.

What are the dire needs of Ghana that need immediate solution or intervention? I believe, solar energy for electricity, water purification, alternative source of fuel usage should be on top the list manufacturing computers and cell phones. EDUCATION IS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND MINIMAL COST OF LIVING. The question is: what kind of DEVELOPMENTS are my refering to? The kind of development that scientist and engineers can come up with by utilizing the basic natural resources and ingridients easily available in the country to create and invent for immediate domestic consumption and export. Talking about computers and cell phones, where do you get the parts from? IMPORT. Please don't use the concept manufacture. Rather use the word ASSEMBLE. Institution like Kumasi Poly ought to focus on research, invention, creation, and not assemble. Assembling should be championed by the industrualists to create immediate employment for the masses.

You don't need to turn K-Poly to Tech University before the institution produce researchers and inventors. The rector of K-Poly should carefully understudy how the Chinese rose to this level of economic achievement. One note to share: The Chinese started employing the culture and tradition which was, and still is, heavily tied to their educational philosophy and national development.
The Chinese high high school graduates are more intuitive and creative than the average Ghanaian university graduate. This is what we ought to be looking at. Majority of Chinese that the Rector has contracted to build the new Technical University are high school and technical college graduates. I can challenge Prof. Nuamah to provide the educational qualifications of the Chinese he met here in Ghana and China. It won't surprise me that Dr. Nuamah may be the only person with Ph.d in the negotiating group. A high school graduate upwitting a Ph.d. graduate.

Nana mani nsawo. But where is the regalia you forefathers kept for safe-keepers for many many years only for you to "lose" them in far away Norway. Ain't worried. Can you sleep at night of this? You have not done anything positive for your kingdom but lost something very important to them. At your tenure look what a mess kumasi has becom. When one comes from Accra to kumasi the place has become a small village. Your exhorbitant lease policy about old buildings in Adum is destroying the city. You are the only one enjoying. The kings bofore you where selfless and truly love their subjects and the Ashanti kingdom. Can the same be said about you after you have joined your fathers
? I do not think so Nana.

I think such a call or plea to the government by our so-called prominent citizens would carry more weight if such callers would quit channeling their pelf into buying expensive mansions in foreign lands. I know it is the primordial duty of government to provide the necessary funding for education; however nothing precludes individuals from helping towards that end. It is no secret that our leaders clandestinely siphon tons of our resources into private investments overseas. These monies could easily have helped alleviate some of Ghana’s woes, but ends up being lent to us with draconian caveats. The Asantehene who was reported to have bought a mansion in Britain is one of such obnoxious culprits. To me his call sounds very hollow. The millions he diverted to Britain could have helped Kumasi Poly, Bantama L/A and other schools in the Ashanti Region.
