If we are copying the western democracy of strike action as a right and all that goes with it,then we should remember that sanctions are part of the bargain. In the West striking workers have the days of their strike deducted from their wages so why not here. They know it is part of the bargain so those who cross the picket line are those who can't afford the pay deduction. Most Africans in the west cross the picket line because every penny counts. This process must operate in Ghana as well since it part of the bargain.

If the president who has only first degree can be paid 120 million cedis then teachers who also have first degree must be paid 120million . that is equal qualification for equal pay is that not it.After all the president does not buy not even his panties. He does not pay tax so i think he does not need all that money.
The president and his men are only greedy that is why they agreed to their salaries being doubled.
Mahama and his men are thieves. They only want to steal as much of the oil revenue as possible before the Supreme Court throws them out of the Jubilee House.
God save us from these vampires.

It grieves my heart if people talk about the state of the nation in recent times. Yet we are not willing to break the old habits that retard development. It is not a question of which party is better than the other, but it is the collective effort to be proactive in aspects of our lives and ensure that our various institutions live up to expectation.
Our country is in shambles because of our proclivity to bias. I agree with my distinguished professor that the laws of the land must be made to work, without favouring any. It is about time we put favouring one party over the other aside and lived as people building a nation. Until we see ourselves as builders of the nation, we will never see the expectant improvements we want.
We must accept the challenge that we are all blameable and ambassadors of poverty. If we see ourselves as such and let go of this black untoward behaviour, we will never be at par with the western world. The religious leaders and the judiciary who are suffering from cataract must realise that our judgement will be severe as pacesetters. We the rest of citizenry(including politicians) should have positive spirit to ague on issues that are geared towards developing the nation, rather than having hypocritical spirit.
