  When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them.

  I am not the PRO for the military currently in Obuasi, but as someone who has stayed and work in Obuasi for the past 22years, and continue to work I think the truth must be told. To be brief like Col Atintande said 'if you fire at us we'll fire back'. What do you expect the soldiers to do when a civilian and for that matter an illegal miner fire at the soldiers or threaten to shoot a soldier? Anybody in Obuasi will testify how these illegal miners have turned Obuasi upside down. Until two days ago, they had virtually taken over Anglogold's Surface and underground mining. Underground they ask company employees to give way for them to blast. One need to be in Obuasi to see the illegal blasting that goes on every now and then. You dare not challenge them. Illegal mining has been part of Obuasi since time in memorial; but was only limited to Sanso a suburb of Obuasi. Those of us here in Obuasi know that but for the timely intervention of the soldiers, these illegal miners would collapsed the Obuasi mine. At the peak of the illegal activities we started accusing the government of not doing anything, now government brings in the soldiers and the government is being condemned. The truth is majority of the people in Obuasi support this exercise. The illegal miners cannot say they were not informed. By the way if a thief comes to steal from your house and you call the police, do you tell the thief I am bringing the police to arrest you?

  Laws are made to obey but also to protect. So you don't bury people alive without notice no matter what crime they have committed. There should be loud speakers announcing the operation at the time and locals should be called to point out where people are hiding beneath the surface to be brought out before the pits are destroyed.
  
  If our governments are determined to help the poor, these people will not be watching throughout their lives as Anglo Gold unearth all our Gold and give the money to crooks in Accra who call themselves Government.

  Angogold through large scale mining has polluted the obuasi area and caused skin diseases to people without compensation. we stay i a country who's sovereign right has been taken away until Nkrumah, but we being blacks sold it back to foreigners. i must be frank to say that i am ashamed to be a Ghanaian. Ghana no more has patriotic politicians anymore.

  This is barbaric and cruel way of dealing with national issue. When will the forces be mature and deal with issues by high wisdom? How could you say that you did not mean to kill but you buried human beings?
