Members of Parliament raised their salaries from 3,000 cedis to 7,00 cedis behind closed doors. MPs also collected a retroactive back pay for FOUR years as part of their salary increase. MPs also got 50,000 cedis in 'rent allowance! On top of that MPs collected $25,000 in the perennial 4-year end of service benefits. This amount is collected by all MPs whether they are retiring; defeated in an election; or continuing in service!

Of course, most of the elite who are robbing Ghana blind send their children to school abroad, so they do not care about the quality of instruction, nor the benefits accruing to teachers.

Where are Mahama's 14 or more children attending school, you ask?

I FULLY ENDORSE AND SUPPORT THE TEACHERS STRIKE.

The bottom line is that if we should sack all those striking teachers those who will replace them will suffer tha same payment issues and we will keep firing. That will not be a wise thing to do.

The minster knows... the teachers cannot continue with a service they have not been paid for. Think about it the tewachers alhave have their own family to care for and how do you expect them to live without been paID
