  The fact that the Kotoka International Airport,is a busy, commercial area,do not mean that,the workers should take advantage,of how sensitive the Airport is,and refused the already 10% increased.I suggest,the management to have a brief meeting with them,asap,to re-start working,to expand the airport.

  We must amend the labour laws to make it even more difficult to go on strike.
  
  Unions should have to ballot their members with a prescribed minimum agreeing to go on strike before a strike can take place. The elections should be conducted by the EC. A minimum period of notice must be given, prescribed by law, before a strike can take place.
  
  Courts should be empowered to fine and sequester union funds if the laws are breached.
  
  We cannot have unions holding the nation to ransom. We must maintain a sensible balance between workers' right to strike and the greater interest of our nation.
  
  We must also look to negotiating no-strike deals with workers in sensitive sectors of the public service e.g medical, security and education.

  This is why the only airports that do serious business in africa are either in N africa,E Africa or south africa.We do not take aviation or work in general seriously in Ghana.

  Are the workers members of Construction and allied workers union?if they are then there was a recent adjustment to wages by 20% for all construction workers in that union.
