Don't you see what is going on? When workers read of AKONFEMOLOGY, MAPUTOLOGY, WAYOMIZATION and other irregularities that the government don't seem to see, then there is agitation. How much was used to inaugurate the new assemblies? The situation we have now in Ghana is just like that prior to Rawlings in '79. How can MPs and political appointees be paid that fat money, rent allowances, car loans and fat ESB when there is no money? Do you know that Doctors duty is a very high risk area? As a matter of fact did Mahama need all these deputy ministers? The prez is a nice man but he is creating some of the problems. Why can't he slash salaries and allowances of himself and his appointees as an example to cut expenditure?

he can not slash salaries because that is the basis for the new government. They came in to steal, and they will leave him dry if he changes course. What is happening, will get worse until someone says "enough."

Its a long list: stx scandal, Cuba students' scholarship, Aircraft purchase, Guinea fowl project, intimate relations with famous gay right advocate Solomon Andrews, so many kids out of marriage, mind boggling overspending at the presidency, Israel trip for pastors, etc, etc. Are we serious as a people and nation to choose such a person as president? It must really be true that he stole the elections. God is not sleeping. All shall see the outcome of the elections petition. Anyway, why is he refusing to have the court proceedings shown in public?

Public servants should stop behaving irresponsibly.

Strike action impacts negatively on the populace - government only suffers embarassment.

It is infantile for Dr Adusei to suggest that the newspapers are his only proof for asserting that government wastes money.

We must change the law to make it much more difficult for public servants to go on strike. The right to strike goes hand in hand with the responsibility to serve the public well.

Gov't should look to negotiate no-strike deals with public servants in sensitive areas of public service eg health workers, teachers, the Police etc. Unions must be required by law to hold a paper ballot and give advance notice of a stipulated period before embarking on strike action. Failure to comply with the law should lead to sequestration of union funds by the courts.

This will provide a cooling-off period during which grievances can be resolved to avert strike action.

We cannot allow public servants to hold society to ransom. Let sanity prevail.

For the mean time we have no money to pay workers who deliver essential services. What happened to your election promises??? Where are the universities? the NHIS? education?? teachers? nurses? NYEP? water? electricity?? employment? prices? congestion? medical care?? hospitals??

ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS STEALING THE MEAGRE RESOURCES LEFT and accusing the media for being lazy when they talk about the nation's lack of progress
