When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Bee, at least I am glad that the Chinese are capable of observing basic rues and regulations in their country. If you go to China with a fake Visa or you you go and dig at a place where you should not, or for that matter, you do anything that you shouldnt do by the dictates of their law, of course you should face the full rigours of prescribed punishment.

That is the difference between China and Ghana. We ourselves do not observe the most common and simple rules and regulations here in Ghana. Why do you think that others who come here should come and observe those rules for us? The whole govt machinery cannot even perform a simple task such as keeping traders off the roads and pavements so one wonders how the govt can efficiently manage areas like the economy, trade and industries.

Again we ourselves do not in any way help our country to develop. We are always stealing, cheating and weakening the system. We really do not have any right to complain because we abuse our country even more than the foreigners. What has Ghana ever done free for China? At least China has done more things running into hundreds of millions of dollars free for Ghana than all of you people who are complaining about the illegal activities of Chinese in Ghana.

If I were you and you have any principles of any kind, I would shut up to hide my shame!

2. Ease restrictions on Ghanaians migrating to China
3. Stop harassment of Ghanaians resident and working in Ghana
4. Finally do not discriminate in employing Ghanaian migrants looking for work in Chinese factories or wanting to start their own businesses in China"

Branaboy do you know how much money, intellectual property and material these Chinese immigrants bring into our country? Maybe you can relate that to why the govt is incapable of effectively acting against illegal Chinese and other activities by immigrants here. I bet you, if Ghanaian immigrants to China were to go there with even a few thousand dollars apiece, nobody in China would restrict or harass them. The simple rule of thumb is that you cannot reap where you have not invested. You cannot have any of what you have not made and you cannot take what is not yours. Its as simple as that.

Because we are so useless as a people and we cannot do anything for ourselves - at least not since 1966, we will continue to kowtow to and depend on the assistance and terms of imperialists as well as any body who can throw a few dollars at us. For the ineptitude of our so-called leaders, we have become an 'ashawo' state.

In any case, if Chinese people with all their remarkable economic success are coming to Ghana in droves, what the hell are Ghanaians going to China for? Shouldn't this alone give us a hint that we have something good here that they dont have and which they want? If that is so, then why dont we exploit whatever it is ourselves and sell it to them? Doesnt this also tell us that we are just a lazy bunch of never-do-wells who always want to go where others have toiled and suffered to make life good for themselves so that we can go and live an easier life there? Mark my word it will not happen in China because they dont owe us anything.

Even those imperialist countries that rounded up millions of our brothers and sisters as slaves to go and do their dirty work for them and continued to colonize us and freely steal incalculable amounts of our mineral resources for over three hundred years, do not feel any compulsion or even the slightest sympathy to apply any of the conditions you prescribe.

We have to wake up and stop being petty. The world is not for lazy dreamers and fools.

Indeed, immigration can be both a curse and boon for economic development. The government must enforce the laws, but doing so doesn't mean that genuine concerns of foreign investors cannot be addressed.

Frank, China is a much less open society. But in more open, democratic societies, such as Ghana and the U.S., even the American President can be petitioned by any small fry. Besides, comparing yourself to China is simply silly. The Chinese government can sit back and fold its arms. Foreign investment will still flow in because of China's large internal market and labour and infrastructure advantages. We don't have that advantage and our government must be more proactive in addressing the concerns of investors. Do you know that as we speak, China is the single largest source of foreign investment in Ghana? This does not mean that we should allow them to break our laws, but care must be taken so that those who have legal business here are not affected. Which of these is so difficult for your thick skulls to understand?

Is that the type of immigration agreement Britain has with the United States? Why would these pigmies take Ghana for granted. Ghana has an investment code. The government should make copies available to the Chamber of Commerce. Get them to understand the conditions for working in Ghana or for entering as an investor. Period.
