  If they could go to school they would have been there do what they are asked to do now.

  The government failed and shamelessly try to please everyone even the PWDs, for PWD would have made the streets and roads good for disable people be able to use it. You cant even move a wheel chair.

  PWD in Ghana used to be the "People's Work Department" - those who kept our roads from getting choked with weeds.

  EVERY COUNTRY TAKES GOOD CARE OF THE DISABLES AND THE AGED.GIVE THEM MORE SOCIAL FACILITIES AND ACCESSIBLE MEANS TO GET TO OFFICES.COMPUTER LITERACY IS NEEDED BY THE WHOLE COUNTRY.

  ORGANS,DOOR LOCKS REPAIRS.Not many are in these sectors,and

  I believe these services are needed in GHANA everywhere.There are lot of Churches with PIANOS & ORGANS that need servising all the time.Over here in CANADA,blind men are escorted by WATCH DOGS to go to areas they work on PIANOS & ORGANS.
  If one would ponder over this!The WHITES who introduced DOOR LOCKS to AFRICA,never showed us how
  to repair them.They wanted us to buy from them always,I think.WE NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THEM,BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOME TIME IN ITS USAGE.After that it does not function approprietely and needs to be fixed.We unknowingly throw them away to purchase a new one.THAT IS THE TRICK OF THE WHITE MAN.The government should take advantage on this to train these PWDS and it would help them secure permanent jobs,in
  the phase of the
  huge infrastural development in GHANA NOW.THAT IS MY ADVICE.

  Can the government afford to pay them? Or is it one of the rash political decisions? After 6 months of training, are they qualified for the job? The idea of helping people with disabilities is laudable but we need to make sure that they are well trained for the job. We also need to do a cost-benefit analysis to ensure that the whole program will be beneficial. I don't think it is a social welfare endeavor.

  Every disablity is different and they cant be treated the same.
  Those you did teach how to read or write should be given money to start something they want to do not what you want them to do. They are diable people not PWD. Mahama is PWD and he is not part of the disable person because his disabilities are different from the people who cant food to eat because of their disabilties. Dont inprison them like CPP govt did. Help them
