  I can hardly understand why,at our didposal,we have one of the cheapest labour force in the world,but our locally manufactured products are more expensive than those coming from the Far East?We are fighting ourselves and not the foreigners who bombard Ghana's market with cheaper prices.WE HAVE TO RENEW OUR MINDS IN THIS GLOBAL TRADE,OR WE GO NOWHERE.

  JUSTICE ATUGUBA TO THE RESCUE OF EC LAWYER
  
  "In response to a question posed by Counsel Quarshie-Idun as to whether the petitioners were provided with a voters' register in November 2012, Dr Bawumia answered in the affirmative and attempted explaining himself further.
  
  However, Justice Atuguba intervened saying: “Your theatricals are superfluous”, adding that: “Give a direct answer to his questions, thats all”."
  
  What? “Your theatricals are superfluous”,? This Judge is instead of keeping his card close to his chest is beginning to show his hand by always scolding Bawumiah when the Respondents Lawyers open themselves with open questions that allow Baqumiah to make statements. When Quashie-Idun asks crisp questions, he will get crisp answers but when these trained Lawyers continue to make mistakes by asking questions that give Bawumiah the right to make statements, then Judge Atuguba should not intercede on their behalf for their own mistakes.
  
  
  
  Justice Atuguba, are you part of the Respondents lawyers? Allow the so called geniues lawyers from the Respondents, Lithur, Tsikata and Idun to raise objections if Bawumiah is making statements instead of answering their questions. The problem is not Bawumiah but the Respondents lawyers who ask open questions that lends themselves for explanations.
  
  Justice Atuguba cannot insert himself as part of the Respondents lawyers. He is the Presiding Judge amongst the nine Justices sitting on this case but he seems to be frustrated because Mahama and Ndc has lost all objections they have raised when the Justices have taken a vote to rule.
  
  I really respect Lawyer Addison by not arguing with Atuguba because he could have come in and defend his client, Bawumiah's right but doing so would have angered some Judges who would have thought Addison is showing Atuguba up.
  
  I can't wait to see Addison recross of Dr. Bawumiah when all the so called good works done by Lithur can be explained with pin sheets showing real over voting and people voting without verification.

  Bawumia disagrees and says the law on biometric verification is clear and makes exceptions only for people with disability. He says his evidence pleaded was in relation to the able bodied voters who had to be properly verified before voting but were not. He gives the total number of disability voters in that category to be 3,196 and who were potentially excluded from the normal way of biometric verification. He sarcastically again asks counsel if he could provide him with details of disability voters who should be excluded from the normal way of biometric verification.

  What Bawumiah means that when the space is blank, something was not right. He is assuming zero; what are the respondents equating it to? Either way you look at it, the votes cannot be taken into account. There is no way of ascertaining what went on at the station.
  
  You must know that this figure if filled in even before ballots are counted. This is to ensure that you know what the box should contain. Hence the first act of counting is to count all ballots to make sure that the figures tally.

  zero is a huge number if you didn't know. In anycase, why would the EC official leave that space blank and fill in other spaces on the same sheet. Let us admit that, there is a big problem with our EC and how they have conducted elections in the past. For me, the real issue isn't who wins or lose rather a wake up call on the EC to sit up and do a good job for which they are paid the tax payer's money. Mediocrity should be eschewed and the system must work to uphold the true tenents of democracy. God bless the petitioners for exposing the lapses in the systems. Let me say that, without robust and sincere systems in place, there isn't any meaning to democracy and that is the reason for the many woes of Mother Ghana. Posterity shall bless the petitioners for a bold and very well thought decision made.

  "Bawumia then requests the court to give him the opportunity to look into his documents to find out if the exhibit being shown to him by Lithur is not one of the exhibits the petitioners struck out. He says the petitioners upon further auditing of their own evidence reduced the total number of pink sheets with irregularities from 11,900 to 11,138. He suspects the pink sheet before may be one of the pink sheets that was struck out by the petitioners. "
  
  No good lawyer will ask an open or suggest question that he has no answer to and Lithur got punked twice today the last one being this;

  Bawumia takes a look at the pink sheet in question and says the number at the CI portion is 733 but the total votes cast in the polling station was 763. That was clear over voting, he adds.
  
  Lithur returns and says the figure there is unclear. It could be 739. Bawumia responds and says even if it is 739 as the counsel for the respondent is suggesting there is still over voting because the total number of votes cast in that polling station exceeded the total number of registered voters. "
  
  Seriously, where did Lithur obtain his law degree? I am just straddling the fence and watching proceedings and cannot believe Tony Lithur's sophomoric mistakes histrionic pranks at the court.
  
  This is the biggest mistake he has made so far in his cross examination. Did Lithur consult Tsatsu before asking the above question and the worst part confirming Dr Bawumiah's assertion that there were over voting in the December 7th and 8th election.
  
  Lithur should not have asked that question not knowing what the answer was going to be when Dr Bawumiah said this;
  
  "CI portion is 733 but the total votes cast in the polling station was 763"
  
  The C1 portion is the total number of voters so when Dr Bawumiah said the total number of votes cast was 763, instead of Tony Lithur coming up with a lower number than 733, read what he said;
  
  "Lithur returns and says the figure there is unclear. It could be 739."
  
  Really, geniues Lithur? Are you not aware that any number above the 733 registered voters is an over voting so even if there was 733 registered voters and you have 734 people voting there is over voting? You instead agreed that the number could have been 739 which is still over voting?
  
  After Lithur's "boubou" admitting a number of 739, Dr Bawumia responds that if it is 739 as the counsel for the respondent is suggesting there is still over voting because the total number of votes cast in that polling station exceeded the total number of registered voters. "
  
  Lithur should have stopped before asking that dumb question but I think he is enjoying the limelight being shown on him and cannot let it go. Now we are getting to the real numbres after using pink sheets that the Petitioners have already deleted from their evidence and that is why he rejected Dr Bawumiah from looking at his notes to prove that the Respondents might have inserted these pink sheets after they have been deleted as Petitioners Lawyer Addison intimated.
