Keep insulting him because coup is real possible and might be imminent. You might be thinking President Mahama has been President for only eight months but NDC has been ruling for more than four years and see how those people who came to power without any assets have aquired properties beyond their pay scale. Look at somebody like Asiedu Nketiah making mockery of Ghanaians by telling us he can sell blocks to the country at twice the price and nobody can't do anything.

"OWUO SISI ASO", that is an Akan proverb which literally means that, when death is about to happen to people, they get the message that could have prevent their demise or at least prolong their living, they close their mind to the subtle message that death sends.

KB, It's really stupid for Parliamentarians and former cabinet members to receive an average of GHc200,000 as ex-gratia when ordinary Ghanaians even if they work forty years in their lifetime cannot earn that amount in salaries and ex-gratia is not even their pension but a bonus these fools receive every four years.

Somebody like Bagbin and few others from NDC and NPP have received this thank you money for five times since 1996. Bagbin has received at leats $350,000 since 1996 apart from his salaries, housing benefits, car loans and free petrol, electricity andwater. Even a rich nation like USA cannot afford to do this stupidity and the Politicians are plainly stealing from poor Ghanaians. Coup is more likely to happen despite the fact that most Ghanaians don't want that.

I am hoping that Mahama would hear the cries of the people and take care of priorities instead of wasting time on useless pilgrimages and other non priorities. My problem though is Mahama sometimes seem clueless – well, let us hope that his 86 + or so elves can help him get on track, though I must admit most of the appointees are useless, no nothings.

There's absolutely no need for a coup. If things aren't goind okay for Ghanaians, they have the constitutional rights to vote the incompetent govt out of power. Right now, the Petitioners in the December elections have their case in court. The prevailing horrible economic situation will attest to the fact the NDC don't deserve to be winners in the elections, except the fact that they colluded witht the EC to steal the ballot. We should allow our democracy to be the bedrock of our country's governance. Soldiers aren't the sollution to our problems.

We have full confidence in our Justice System, unlike what the NDC would want people to believe, that our Judges and lawyers are corrupt. I don't believe that at all.Even with Justice Atuguba, who has blood ties with John Mahama's secretary, as head of the hearing pannel, we should still trust in our justice system---they're a competent bunch of Noble Justices, who'll have the courage to do what is right for mother Ghana.

Please don't scare Ghanaians with any coup ideas. Our Let the Supreme Court do their job. Some of the problems we're having in our politics are how the Attourney General, Dr. Benjamin Bewa-Nyog Kunbour, could instruct the Police who're investigating the signing of "pink sheets" to free those election fraud cupltrits while the knows that they're potential witnesses in the case before the Supreme Court. I'm wondering why the NPP is quiet about the whole thing?

Let's hope that the Supreme Court would be wise enough to do what is right for Ghana. We don't need any coup; let's still trust in our Justice system.

People, this is the rot that has engulfed the country. The blatant and reckless handling of the nation's resources is so alarming and depressing that it make you wonder if Government and people in charge of running the affairs are aware of the problems confronting the people of Ghana. Look at our Hospitals, the horrible electricity and water supply situations, educational system that is in shambles, the filth that is swallowing up the environment, the corruption and lack of any semblance of orderly society and on and on...

It is irresponsible, careless and disgraceful to note that Governments and the authorities have nothing or are doing anything to address these basic challenges in Ghana. in order words, they are the reason Ghana has not known real progress or development. All governments/politicians do is blame others instead of finding solutions to challenges. They throw dust into the eyes of the public and confuse the people.

Coup is just not the answer. It is retrogressive. In my opinion, creation non-partisan institutions to educate the public into perpetual watch-dogs over the manner in which the country is managed, and also demand accountability, will go a long way. Only an informed educated citizenry can ensure that the ills in society are corrected.

We should never assume that people elected or put in power will do the right thing, we have to demand that they do the right thing.
Priorities of the populace are not their priorities.

Though, I hate coup d'etats but the current situation in Ghana, I am afraid, could trigger a sudden change of government. People are really fed up with the NDC Government's inability to develop the country for the benefit of the people while the politicians and government officials amass great wealth to the detriment of the people. I have been visiting Ghana almost every year for the past twenty years. Over that period, I have studied the achievements of three successive governments of Ghana. Rawlings and Kufuor's government did very well to move Ghana forward. The NDC government has been pooling Ghana back and things are not getting better but rather worst. There is going to be a time the people of Ghana are going to say enough is enough. "We are taking the Power Back." Any Government that cannot provide her people with common water and electricity should not be given the chance to govern, period.

Therefore, it is time the government undertakes or implements serious measures to curb the corruption and improve the economic conditions of Ghanaians. We are all Ghanaians not only those in government.

Koomson, remember that no military can succeed without the help of the wise populace. At present the wise are not interested in your coup coup talks, though the demo- crazy can permit every person to voice anything he/she wants, and that is what you are doing.

Anyway, Koomaon you think it is going to be the same cool chop coup thing of the past. This time if there is coup, I think there will be factions that will fight among themselves to your amazement therefore in that regard you honestly are going to deceive yourself as the fight that will erupt in Ghana will tear Ghana into pieces more than what you imagined.It will be like what took place in sierra leone.

We don't need any military intervention in our democracy. We must allow constitutional rule to flurish. The military cannot save Ghana---they rather make things worse. For those who're clamouring for a coup to take place must think again. We simply shouldn't allow that to happen. It only worsens our plight! We must continue from where we've reached so far, in our democratic governance.

Although we have Justice Atuguba, who has blood ties with John Mahama's secretray, as head of the hearing pannel, we shouldn't lose hope. We should have full confidence in our Supreme Court Justices to do the righ thing for the advancement of our demcratic governance.

It's a fact that things continue to fall apart for many Ghanaians; the prevailing economic situation, even since late Atta-Mills' reign is so absurd. There corruption everywhere. It's getting worse in 2013 and it's time for Ghanaians to rise up and voice things out.

While the Petitioners have their case in court, it's unbelievable to hear that the Attourney General, Dr. Benjamin Bewa-Nyog Kunbour could ask for the realese of those who were caught seeking signatures in the North, to shore up their numbers while he knows that the culprits could be potential witnesses in the case. This is blatant abuse of power, and that's why the ex-soldier is making such unfortunate statements.

No matter what the situation, we must still trust in our Justice System. I sincerely believe that our Noble Justices won't let our nation down. If indeed Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr. Bawumia and Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey have evidence, the Supreme Court won't over-look it.

In the end, Ghana will be the winner! The Justices are also human; they have good consceince and will make the right judgement at the end of it all. There shouldn't be any signs of despair; we must remain confident that soon, the redeemer will come. What we as citizens should do, is to continue praying for our Justices for divine protection, courage and wisdom to be impartial, in their rullings.

May God bless our Homeland, Ghana.

A coup in Ghana today will probably be the bloodiest in the country's history. The coup makers will not be stupid to allow those who lost the elections to come and rule. Knowing the illegality of their actions, the possible resistance they will meet and the obvious international isolation they will face, they will be damn brutal and put true "all die be die" in action. By the time the dust is settled and they are swept away, those who called for them will also be among those who will taste their deadly medicine.
There is no problem in Ghana presently which cannot be solved by tested democratic means. A coup will not be able to solve any problem.

All our resources are fleeting in front of us to semi illiterate parliamentarians and uneducated ministers who simply have abandoned their responsibilities and conducting business with the nation's resources, including the pseudo president who does not know any better. Coup is the only way to put stop to this abuse and mismanagement.

It is funny how so many people are scared of a coup but wont do anything to stop this plunder but turning their heads to the other side. We are a nation of cowards and not knowing where we are going. How does a country like Ghana afford to pay salaries of public servants, retirement, afford housing for these fools, do not buy petrol and now being paid as much as $100,000 for service. On what is this based? Education, contribution, an innovation, qualification or what? Are you surprised everyone is scared of a coup? We need one now to put an end to this blatant destruction.

Our institutions of state are not doing the right things; the National Peace Council is not pro-active and would wish that they are up and doing. The citizery should speak up and expose the wrong' or forever hold our peace.

We Ghanaians should be greatfull and pay more attention if somebody is trying to pull our attention towards something that we might be forgetting or not seeing !!
