A number of times I posted here that those people talking of human rights and defending every Ghanaian even those who are die-hard criminals do so because they have not been directly involved. In fact I told one of the past Attorneys General to his face that he would one day be robbed and his language would be different. He had told me that when he takes on a case and defends it, he does not care whether the crime was actually committed or not. Indeed this former Attorney General was robbed in his own house and I hope he remembered what I told him. I am dead sure if he were asked to defend those who robbed him, he would have forgotten about human rights nonsense.
As you see when it concerns them or their close relatives they come down to earth. When it does not concern them or their family members their language is different. These armed robbers should now move to the Honourable Oye Lithur et al.

Robbers, you are running out of luck and I will quit, go and learn a trade if I were you. There was this rich man I knew very well and grew up with his kids. One of the boys became so troublesome and did not get into further and any higher education, also refused to learn a trade either no matter all the advice he received. His dad’s nature of job involved so many handy men but he resented any hard work and took to stealing from his neighbors at an early age which led to arm robbery in his adulthood.

He terrorized his environment a lot but was spared severally when the victims knew who he was until one unfaithful unfortunate mid night when together with accomplices entered into some unknown territory far away from home. His robbing activities have been monitored for some time now and there was an ambush awaiting them. He was the only one who got caught and they forced the diesel he has been stealing through his mouth and nose beat him severely and left him to die. His accomplices were waiting at a distance and when the coast was clear, took his body and dumped it in front of his residence, knocked hard at the main gate and took off. He died not long after he was discovered by the family, he was shitting and coughing blood the agony no human being dare to face not even under a sinister of interrogation.

That marked his faith and at the funeral his rich father refused to wear the costumed attire and shed no tears for his son. They were so relived to rid him off and wave him a tough luck including his own daughter.

Unfortunately the people that matters the most to receive this message do not read this forum. They come to rub in their full armor showing no mercy to their victims. Let them receive the same fate they envisaged for their victims. A pair of eyes for an eye limps for a limp, many teeth for a tooth. Let them taste their own medicine and let the nation seek deterrent measures to counter fight their crimes to set the innocent victims free.

I have a civil case in that court too, so I had been seeing Lawyer Asumaning passionately defending the armed robbers, thieves, car snatchers, rapists, drug offenders, etc. He's almost like their friend. These are mainly young men between the ages of 19 and 30 years old. Very pitiful, and this lawyer would get up and argue their cases very professionally. I think he has been jolted out of his sense of security to realize how vulnerable we are against these hardened criminals. Thank God for this!

I would have thought that this incident of robbery on his relations will rather make him appreciate the socio-economic exigences of the times and what makes it such that people will want to resort to violent crimes to eke a living. Ofie, please reconsider your decision. There might be thousands of supposed robbers who indeed are not. I have a elation who is currently standing trial at court one for alleged robbery when all he did was to have gone to the police to give them information and just as he was coming out somebody pointed him and said he was an armed robber. How sad!!!!

Because it is so clear armed robbery is a serious cime against humanity. Anyway he has now come to the reality that armed robbery is evil just because it was visited on him. So those who suffered it in the past and he defended the criminals, were animals? He should go on and defend them, after all he is a human rights activist. There are many other human rights issues he should be talking about and not armed robbery. Armed robbery is a serious human rights abuse of the victims and that is the side he should be on and not defend criminals.
