If the government becomes that insensitive, the end result is what we are seeing. I hope the Doctors will not renege but rather go on a lock-down strike to teach our elected officials some commonsense.

If he did that our monies will be well managed and there would be enough money to pay everyone. As it is and I hope you are objective to know that departmental and ministerial budgets have been overspent by the hundreds of millions and the President has not taken any action against or asked the people responsible any questions about the overspent and accounted for what has been done with the overspent.

The sheer incompetence and lack of accountability and transparency is what is driving the country bankrupt and so allegedly no money to pay for workers while there is money to backpay incompetent mps who lost their seats in the last election.

For the mean time workers have not been paid for 6 months and it is fine by you PLONKER! AND NATION DESTROYER!

Life is getting harder in Ghana everyday. Our democracy is not working. I don't see any difference between a military or civilian government. Something has to change in Ghana very soon. The onus is on President Mahama.

At a time that teachers, doctors, pharmacists, nurses and the most needed in the society were taking industrial actions or threatening one to demand better conditions and improved benefits,it was very unfortunate and untimely that government would go ahead and pay ex-gratia of millions of dollars to former parliamentarians. If they are more important than doctors and teachers as one of them foolishly claimed, why didn't they go on strike to see whether ghanaians would have felt any impact of their strike...but when doctors, teachers, nurses go on strike, the citizenry feels the impact immediately, with lives at stake...no matter how the beneficiaries of the ex-gratia would argue to defend the payment, the timing of it was wrong...and so if doctors are embarking on a strike action to demand their more deserved benefits, they are more than right and that is why i reluctantly support them in their industrial action, come monday

In the USA nurse practitioners and physician assistant cannot work independently , they have to work under supervision of s physician , that is why the state boards of medicine require that they have a collaborative agreement signed by a physician who will be supervising them and another doctor who will do that in the absence of the first doctor.
they definitely cannot work independently , the day they are allowed to do so will see a rise in malpractice suits against them and a rise in malpractice premiums for them , that will be the day trial lawyers will be wearing a wide grin from cheek to cheek salivating over the coming opportunity to rake in billions!
