When the citizenry cant afford three square meals a day though we not lazy, you expect a politician to tell us we are hungry? Nope! I feel the crunch myself. NHIS has collapsed, fuel is up, there are no jobs and only party fools are chopping our monies .fuufuu.' Woyome's money alone could have alleviated the plights of many. Ghana Government should never again sponsor education for would be Medical Doctors. Let them pay for the cost of medical school and when they are done they can choose to leave the country to come here to the USA and make all the money they want.

Folks that is what free and subsidized education gives you in Ghana. Better letting them pay for their own education and Government taking care of the needy in terms of health! Most of these medical professionals steal equipment and supplies that belong to the people anyway.

Uncle Boat (I have an uncle called Boat) you don't seem to understand the situation. In the US, some medical facilities and even the government sponsors medical students and bonds them to return and work for them for a certain number of years. In the case of the government, sometimes, they encourage such doctors to work in rural or Indian reservation communities. And though sponsored, while working they still pay them their full wages. Matter of fact they give them extra incentives to consider working in such areas longer than negotiated. The issue is that people who work must be paid. It is unconscionable to expect people to continue to work for free. How do you expect people to take care of their families and needs if they work for free? Don't you think a time will come when they will get tired and say, hey, I can't continue to do this any longer? That is what is happening. If the government would rather give money to parliamentarians and collaborators in crime, then they should let the parliamentarians (those who get the money) go and take care of the sick. Are you familiar with the saying, "monkey dey work, baboon dey chop." That's not a fair model to apply to any country's workforce.

Workers have their salaries rise by over 300% under the ssss only two years ago. Why on earth will they be so dissatisfied to go on strike? Increase in food prices haven't gone up as significant as their salaries went up. And none of them is complaining of not being paid their salaries too. So, is it arears % other petty stuff that's causing these strikes? Oh No. My friends who were paid 400Ghc a month are now reviving over 1,000 Ghc a month. What is the root of this anger that could cause these strikes? As a lame, unpolitical man like me, it doesn't make logic.
